Receptionist blocked access with scripted responses
I would rate this experience much lower if possible. This visit was deeply disappointing and left me feeling frustrated and upset. The reception staff member was unhelpful and took on a gatekeeping role without showing any understanding of my situation - they appeared to be following a set procedure rigidly without any flexibility or ability to adapt to what I was telling them. It is regrettable that the service seems to have lost sight of putting patients first. I am very dissatisfied overall and am considering registering with a different practice.

Reception didn't acknowledge the maintenance oversight
After reviewing the feedback shared about local medical practices in the area, I find myself disappointed by one particularly lengthy response that clearly involved considerable effort. What troubles me is that despite this effort, the reply seemed to overlook the perspective of the person who had experienced the issue. It would have been more appropriate to acknowledge the apparent gap in service regarding maintenance of an accessible area, and to offer a straightforward apology for what was clearly an inconvenient and frustrating situation for the individual to feel compelled to document. Based on my own observations, most people simply want acknowledgment and a willingness to accept responsibility—not an extensive justification of procedures that evidently were not followed through. The response must have felt rather unsatisfying to receive.

App booking system doesn't offer face-to-face appointments
How can I arrange an in-person appointment with a GP when the app no longer allows me to book one? I'm experiencing significant discomfort in my hands, and a telephone consultation wouldn't be suitable since the clinician wouldn't be able to examine the affected area directly.

The area surrounding the accessible parking spaces is not adequately treated during winter weather, requiring only minimal additional effort. There is a lack of suitable seating available for patients during blood test procedures. These matters warrant attention.

I was told by a clinician that I would receive a text message regarding a prescription query, but despite waiting several weeks, I never received any follow-up communication. The lack of responsiveness was disappointing and ultimately led to my decision to register elsewhere.

This practice is absolutely wonderful. The telephone lines are consistently answered, and the reception team members are all welcoming, very supportive and considerate. Clinical samples can be submitted in the morning without needing to arrange a separate consultation appointment. I would strongly encourage others to choose this surgery.

Rude reception staff undermine otherwise brilliant care
The reason for my three-star rating is primarily due to the reception staff. I found their manner to be quite abrupt and unhelpful. When I approached them with a query, I was told they couldn't assist as they lacked medical training, which felt dismissive. It's disappointing because the clinical staff I've encountered have been excellent and provide outstanding care. However, the reception experience is let down by poor communication skills and a lack of courtesy when dealing with patients over the phone or in person.

Cancelled with an hour's notice, poor rebooking
The practice cancelled my appointment just an hour before I was scheduled to attend, which meant I had already taken time off work. When I enquired about rebooking, I was asked to call back the following day, resulting in another week-long wait before securing a new appointment. I have decided to switch to a different practice. I did not receive an apology, and I found the interaction with the reception staff to be dismissive.

Excellent team. I have been a patient for over two years and consistently find them to be very supportive. The adjacent pharmacy is particularly convenient. The location offers good parking facilities and is also accessible by foot or bicycle.
