Patient Experience Summary

Appointment access remains a significant challenge at this practice, with patients reporting persistent difficulties securing bookings through both phone and online channels. Long waiting times on hold, unresponsive phone lines, and claims of unavailable slots are recurring themes, leaving many unable to obtain timely consultations. Reception experience is mixed, with some staff praised for helpfulness and courtesy, whilst others are frequently described as dismissive, discourteous, and unhelpful. Communication failures extend beyond appointment booking, including missed callbacks, unclear consultation arrangements, and inconsistent handling of patient contact information.

Care quality shows considerable variation across the practice. Some patients report thorough examinations, compassionate care, and effective treatment, whilst others describe dismissive attitudes, inadequate clinical engagement, and insufficient follow-up. Prescription errors and pharmacy coordination issues have been noted, along with concerns about responsiveness to test results and referral management. The practice environment and administrative systems receive mixed feedback, with some appreciating the welcoming atmosphere and efficient processes, whilst others highlight disorganisation and system failures.

Positive experiences centre on individual clinicians who demonstrate genuine attentiveness and compassion, alongside efficient service delivery when booking systems function smoothly. However, the overall pattern suggests systemic challenges in appointment availability, consistency of reception courtesy, and care coordination that warrant attention to ensure equitable access and quality experience across all patient interactions.

Impossible to Book an Appointment Anywhere

For a week and a half, I've been struggling to schedule a doctor's consultation. Every morning, I begin calling the general practice at 8:00 am, but the phone line is consistently unresponsive. Around 9:00 am, the line finally connects, only to inform me that I should have called earlier at 8:00. No staff member seems willing to assist me. This is absolutely the most incompetent medical practice I've ever encountered!!! I strongly advise against using their services. THEY PERPETUALLY LACK AVAILABLE APPOINTMENT SLOTS!

Doctor Jesus Chappella Saved My Appointment

I wish I could award more stars to Doctor Jesus Chappella, as he stands out as the sole beacon of hope in this facility. The receptionists are equally delightful, but it's truly disheartening that some of the physicians display such a lack of empathy and compassion. Patients shouldn't find themselves in a position of having to prompt their doctor with, "You're the professional, so enlighten me about my condition" after sharing comprehensive personal details. More often than not, we patients are left in the dark, uncertain about our medical situation.

Nightmare Phone Experience with Impossible Appointment Booking

Undoubtedly the most abysmal customer service experience I've ever encountered. Scheduling an appointment is practically impossible. After three separate phone attempts, the frustration was overwhelming. First call: 42 excruciating minutes trapped in their queuing system, only to be unceremoniously disconnected when nearly first in line. Second call: 38 minutes wasted, again ending with an abrupt hang-up. The third attempt was even more infuriating - over an hour of waiting, finally reaching the front of the queue, only to have the call terminated without explanation. The staff manning these phone lines must be the most incompetent and discourteous individuals imaginable.

Dr Weir Made Me Feel Terrible

Dr Weir from this medical center ranks among the most discourteous and indifferent physicians I've encountered. Despite my desperate state of having not slept for a week, he flatly rejected offering assistance, then disingenuously claimed he would help while simultaneously warning he would remove me from their patient roster. I am actively seeking alternative healthcare providers and strongly recommend others steer clear of this practice.

Doctor refused to help my daughter

The medical care was absolutely terrible. Dr. J. W completely refused to assist my daughter, who has George Syndrome, solely because she doesn't speak English. He made no effort to arrange a translator and rejected my offer to translate as well. The reception staff were equally unhelpful, stating that the doctor can choose who he treats, regardless of the fact that my daughter had a scheduled appointment.

Waited All Day for a No-Show Call

I reached out to schedule an appointment for my son just before 1pm and had a pleasant interaction with the receptionist, who informed me I'd receive a callback between 3 and 6pm, which seemed reasonable. However, upon checking our online system, I discovered the appointment was set for 16:40 with a doctor I strongly dislike - not that it's the main issue, but he consistently appears disengaged and unprofessional during consultations. I've been waiting anxiously with my phone nearby all afternoon while my son's condition deteriorates. The scheduled appointment time passed, and although I initially assumed the doctor was running behind, no call ever came. Now I'm forced to delay my son's medical assessment until morning, and I'm deeply concerned about seeing this physician who demonstrates poor bedside manner with adults, leaving me worried about how he'll interact with my child. Subsequently, I anticipate spending the entire day waiting for a prescription while my son continues to suffer. Thankfully, there are a few compassionate doctors at this practice, like Dr Magrabi and Dr Cai, who I would absolutely prioritize for future appointments.

Doctor Chapela saved my frustrating visit

Marfleet group practice is utterly appalling! While some receptionists are fantastic and genuinely supportive, others treat patients like an unwelcome burden. Doctor Chapela stands out as the sole compassionate physician who genuinely listens and takes time with patients, whereas the remaining doctors appear indifferent, discourteous, and seemingly unwilling to provide proper medical care, expecting patients to direct their own treatment. I'm actively seeking a new medical practice that demonstrates genuine concern for patients' well-being. This practice thoroughly deserves to be reported to the medical authorities for their unacceptable standards of care!

Frustrating customer service before closing time

The website claims customer service is available until 6:30 PM, but in reality, their computer systems shut down at 6 PM or even earlier, rendering any attempt to get assistance futile. As a result, customers are forced to call back the following day for support.

Struggling to Get My Covid Vaccine as a Nurse

As a vital healthcare professional currently on maternity leave and set to return to work in three months, I followed my health visitor's guidance by avoiding vaccination in February while breastfeeding, given the uncertain risks at that time. The official government protocol now mandates that I secure my key worker vaccination through my GP. The moment the receptionist discovered I was under 40, she abruptly terminated our conversation. Upon consulting the government service again, they confirmed that the receptionist's stance was incorrect. This situation is effectively creating barriers that could prevent me from returning to work and potentially compromising my ability to support my child. I am now compelled to seek registration with an alternative GP practice that demonstrates understanding and can provide the service my current practice failed to deliver. My level of disappointment extends far beyond a simple description.

Truly incredible experience during a challenging period. I was struggling, and my medical visit unexpectedly became complicated. The entire staff demonstrated remarkable compassion, with management even getting involved to ensure my medication needs were completely addressed.

Impossible to Get an Appointment Here

Terrible establishment. Getting an appointment is an absolute nightmare, and even when you manage to secure one, it's a phone consultation where they never follow through with a call. They instruct you to contact them during specific time slots for booking, but when you call during those exact times, they claim everything is fully booked. How does that make sense? It seems they're scheduling appointments outside of the stated hours. Completely absurd and frustrating.

Receptionists Ruined My Doctor's Visit

If I could award zero stars, I absolutely would. The general practitioners are acceptable, but the front desk staff... goodness, their attitude is appalling, acting as if they're superior to everyone. They insist on extracting detailed medical information over the phone, completely disregarding personal privacy. There's absolutely zero respect for confidentiality. These receptionists desperately need comprehensive customer service training. The entire experience is repulsive, and I strongly recommend seeking out an alternative medical practice if you wish to avoid being treated with contempt and condescension.

Dismissive Doctor Made Me More Anxious

I scheduled a consultation a week back due to experiencing chest discomfort, which was particularly alarming given my young age of 25. The physician, whom I'd encountered previously, maintained his typical approach. He conducted a standard examination, checking my blood pressure and applying pressure to my chest to assess pain levels. While nothing seemed immediately painful, he spent most of the consultation staring at his computer screen, repeatedly rolling his eyes even during our conversation. His dismissive response of "I don't know what it could be" effectively concluded our interaction. Far from providing reassurance, his attitude intensified my anxiety to such an extent that I felt compelled to visit the emergency room that evening. In stark contrast, the A&E staff treated me with genuine compassion and respect. Although I waited five hours, the attending doctor was ultimately helpful and provided clarity about my condition.
