I have had an excellent experience at this medical practice, which stands out as the finest I have encountered throughout my time as a patient. Over the course of several years attending here, the entire team has consistently demonstrated helpfulness, friendliness and responsiveness. I appreciate that contacting the practice is straightforward, without lengthy wait times or complicated phone systems. Appointments are readily available within a reasonable timeframe, including specialist services. The front desk team are particularly noteworthy for their courtesy, efficiency and pleasant demeanor. Medication requests are processed promptly and smoothly. I feel fortunate to have access to such a well-run surgery.

During a difficult time with a serious illness, the care we received was amazing with so much compassion and dedication. Reception answers calls without long waits

I always manage to get through to reception without any issues, and the team consistently goes above and beyond. I had been struggling for quite some time to receive a diagnosis, and the clinicians at the practice showed real dedication, working through various possibilities with me until we finally identified the underlying issue. I genuinely don't know what I would do without this surgery. I frequently speak highly of how excellent my GP practice is. I would honestly recommend it to anyone.

Quick appointment booking and caring staff throughout

The process of registering, scheduling an appointment, and being seen by a healthcare professional has been excellent throughout. I don't visit the surgery often, but when I recently needed to be checked, they managed to fit me in promptly despite their busy schedule. Every member of staff demonstrated genuine compassion, and I feel fortunate to have access to this practice for both myself and my loved ones. I'm very appreciative of the service provided. The one suggestion I would offer is that the waiting area was quite silent during my visit - it would be pleasant to have some background entertainment such as a television or radio to help pass the time and keep occupied.

Nurse went above and beyond for my mum

I would like to provide very positive feedback for the specialist nursing team at the local practice who has gone above and beyond to help provide the very best care for my mother who has complex health needs. My mother sustained an injury to her leg and the nursing team understood my concerns about minimising hospital involvement and liaised with the relevant specialist service, providing clinical documentation which resulted in a consultation and agreement of a treatment plan that would not require a hospital visit or invasive procedures. My mother is being treated with appropriate wound care and management timescales whilst being kept comfortable within her current care setting. Everyone involved is aware of the situation and this represents the best outcome for my elderly mother. I cannot thank the nursing team enough for their help and support both emotionally during a very difficult time and in actually getting everything arranged in such a prompt manner. We should all take the time to thank people for doing such a good job, thank you to the team, you have done excellent work.

This practice is absolutely outstanding on every level. The reception team are very polite and understanding, and the clinical staff are very knowledgeable, sympathetic, empathetic and approachable. I've called at very short notice before and they have managed to fit me in for a same day appointment—this is an excellent standard of care. These professionals are worth their weight in gold. What a credit to the NHS they all are.

Excellent medical practice with a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. The reception team are friendly and helpful, and the clinical staff provide excellent care. Access to telephone consultations and guidance is readily available, and the pharmacy team offer valuable assistance. The wellbeing support services are outstanding.

Couldn't get anyone to care about my health

I have never experienced worse service anywhere. The staff at this centre appear indifferent to patient wellbeing and care. If you have the option to register elsewhere, I would strongly recommend doing so. The standard of care provided here is extremely poor. Having been a patient for over a year, this has been a deeply disappointing experience overall.

Reception delays made waiting unbearable

Called to explain I thought I'd injured my back severely, I was in considerable pain and unable to walk. Was prescribed painkillers over the phone and advised to rest. After 6 days the pain and mobility had worsened so I rang again. Given another phone appointment with a clinician who came across as dismissive and showed little compassion. Explained I couldn't walk and was experiencing severe pain. I was told to come to the practice for a specific time and the call ended abruptly. Arrived at the practice at the appointed time but the receptionist took 15 minutes to deal with other patients at the desk so I was late checking in anyway as I was unable to use the self check in system. Was informed I'd missed the earlier appointment slot despite being given a different time, but would be scheduled for a later one. Well after the later time I left, as I was in such severe pain sitting that I was in tears and the receptionist made no attempt to assist. A kind stranger helped my family walk me out of the practice and into the car. I ended up going to the hospital who later that day identified a significant spinal issue affecting my mobility and causing considerable pain. What happened to compassion and proper duty of care? Nothing was done to make me comfortable, to check on my wellbeing, or to even explain what was happening. My husband had attended a month previously with what appeared to be clear signs of illness but was told it was likely a minor digestive issue and given advice to fast for 48 hours despite having a relevant medical condition. He ended up in A&E requiring emergency treatment and was seriously unwell because of that guidance. He was fortunate that the outcome wasn't more severe. This practice needs serious review. We will not be returning.

Lost paperwork delayed registration process

Extremely disappointing experience with the level of care provided! I attended for my initial registration as a new patient, and unfortunately important documentation went missing. I had to wait for an extended period before being informed of this issue. During this time, I made contact with the practice and was told that my registration materials were pending processing.

Reception staff rudeness made things worse

I have experienced disappointing levels of care and empathy from this practice, particularly from the reception team. As a long-standing patient, I have consistently found interactions with reception staff to be unwelcoming throughout my time here. While I understand this may be a broader systemic issue, it remains frustrating. More concerning is the apparent lack of attentiveness when I have raised symptoms that are significantly impacting my wellbeing. During a recent appointment, I presented with multiple symptoms and was advised that investigation and formal diagnosis were not priorities, with the suggestion that symptom management alone would suffice. However, no concrete support or testing was offered to help address what I was experiencing. I attempted to manage independently but found this approach insufficient. I have since been placed on an extended waiting list for specialist support and am currently coping as best I can, though I feel unsupported. I find it troubling that a health concern with potentially serious implications for fertility and long-term health outcomes has been treated with such apparent indifference. No offer was made to conduct relevant tests or investigations. This experience has left me feeling that my concerns were not taken seriously. While I recognise the NHS faces significant pressures, I would have appreciated some acknowledgment of the genuine difficulty I am facing. If you are seeking a practice that prioritises patient care, safety, and consideration for your overall wellbeing, I would encourage you to explore other options.
