Worst medical practice i've ever experienced

I've experienced numerous medical practices throughout my life, but this clinic stands out as the most abysmal by far. Securing an appointment is practically unattainable, and this applies even when trying to schedule care for my infant child. The entire facility is completely ridiculous, perfectly aligned with the general standard of everything else in Mildenhall.

Cannot Get An Appointment to see the GP - Cancer Pathway

It’s unfortunate that this surgery only operates through an electronic booking system. To get an appointment, you must log in to Anima at 7:00 AM. However, by 7:17 AM, all booking slots for the entire day are taken, forcing you to try again the next day. What makes this method dangerous is that the system cannot distinguish between patients with minor issues, like a cold, and those with serious needs, such as a genuine appointment for cancer. The system works on a first come first serve system and not on priority. Calling the surgery and speaking with the reception team is not helpful, as they are all trained to repeat the same message: you must use Anima to book your GP appointment. My job as a carer does not allow me the luxury of logging in at 7:00 AM, as this is my busiest time of day supporting vulnerable adults. Additionally, you cannot call the surgery at that time because the telephone lines are not available until after 8:00 AM. How does someone struggling with a life-threatening condition actually get an appointment with the GP handling their case when the system they use to see patients prehibits you from getting a booking or when the reception team are not willing to even pass a message to the GP? I would not recommend this surgery based on the poorly managed booking system and lack of human contact.

I consulted Ahmed Hefny regarding a persistent shoulder and arm issue. Through some targeted examinations, he quickly diagnosed my condition. His assistance was both competent and compassionate, and he genuinely appeared committed to my recovery. I was thoroughly satisfied with his care. Dr. Winters, whom I've recently consulted, has also been excellent in my experience. Dr. Ayers was my preferred general practitioner for an extended period, though I'm uncertain if she remains at this medical practice, which saddens me 😢

Compassionate doctor saves me from painful nightmare

I'm absolutely thrilled with my doctor. Last month, I consulted a different physician regarding my persistent, severe indigestion. I requested an endoscopy to investigate the cause, as the pain during these episodes is so excruciating that I end up screaming uncontrollably until it subsides. The intensity is even worse than my childbirth experience. Emotionally devastated from a recent episode just two days prior, I pleaded for assistance. However, the previous doctor was completely unsympathetic, dismissing my endoscopy request and claiming it would be denied, and refusing to consider any long-term medication options. Today, I saw my regular doctor, Dr. Maborukoje, who immediately referred me for an endoscopy without me even asking and prescribed ongoing medication. What truly sets him apart is his compassionate approach - he didn't rush me like many other doctors tend to do, which I understand given the NHS's current pressures. Instead, he genuinely inquired about my well-being and showed sincere concern about my mental health, particularly following my sister's recent passing. This is exactly how every healthcare professional should treat their patients. I truly hope he never leaves this practice - he is an incredibly kind and empathetic man.

Frustrating healthcare experience with zero support

On February 7th at 9am, I struggled to secure an appointment through Anima and contacted 111, who directed me to speak with doctors. After being placed in triage, I waited a staggering 7 hours before reception finally called, advising me to visit the nearest hospital for an out-of-hours consultation. My entire day was consumed by this frustrating process. Without a vehicle and facing prohibitively expensive taxi costs, I had no feasible way to reach the hospital. Shockingly, no healthcare professional even bothered to discuss the practicality of my situation. This level of service is completely unacceptable! I shudder to think how such treatment might impact an elderly patient. Fortunately, I was able to resolve my medical concern through my private Bupa healthcare provider. When a patient is triaged, they deserve genuine attention and consideration from a doctor!

Frustrating healthcare system fails young patient

Their new system is causing complete chaos. I was attempting to schedule a medical consultation for my sick 7-year-old, who I suspect is experiencing an IBS flare-up, only to be shockingly informed they won't see him because we're registered with different medical practices - something that has never been an issue before. Now I'm forced to transfer his records to my own practice, who immediately confirm this restriction is total nonsense, as patient location shouldn't matter. As a result, my child must now endure a 48-hour waiting period for his medical records to be transferred before he can receive any treatment. It's absolutely appalling that they would refuse to treat a chronically ill child who has been their patient for years, all because of this ridiculous new administrative system.

Decades of service ruined by one terrible receptionist

I've been a loyal customer for more than four decades without any issues, but recently encountered an incredibly discourteous receptionist who seemed to look down on everyone and spoke to people condescendingly, which I observed firsthand while waiting in the lobby. When I later tried to address this on the phone, she was equally disrespectful, refused to identify herself, and abruptly ended the call. Her demeanor suggests a superiority complex and a complete lack of professionalism. I've never encountered such poor customer service - she embodies an antagonistic approach with absolutely no interpersonal skills whatsoever.
