I've been a lifelong patient at this medical practice, and I can honestly say I've never encountered any issues. In my view, they're top-notch. If urgent, they'll accommodate you for same-day appointments, and if they can't immediately take your call, they're still responsive and professional. I have absolutely no criticisms about their service.

Terrible surgery with cruel and unhelpful staff

I'll just copy and paste what I sent to the practice below: To whom it may concern, (I would address the practice manager here but I actually have something to say regarding them as well and don't find them pleasant at all.)I want to formally document this complaint against The Market Surgery. Having been a lifelong patient at this surgery, I am utterly dismayed by the consistently poor treatment patients receive. From my personal experiences, the reception and dispensary staff handle patient interactions in an unacceptably unprofessional manner, especially considering how frequently the surgery closes for supposed "training" sessions. The staff's behavior is nothing short of appalling, and I have been repeatedly belittled, disregarded, and made to feel insignificant by nearly every staff member at reception and in the dispensary (with the sole exception of the blister pack administrator, who appears to be the only compassionate employee). Today, a dispensary staff member even went so far as to mockingly invite me to have the crisis team contact her after they had explicitly instructed her to dispense my critical medication, responding with a provocative "please do, please do get them to contact me" in a clearly demeaning tone. I am certain that the abysmal treatment from your staff could potentially drive vulnerable individuals to self-harm. Your fundamental purpose is to support and care for people, not to exacerbate their distress. The number of times your team has reduced me to tears, frustration, and emotional turmoil while simultaneously spreading misinformation is completely unacceptable. I fully intend to escalate this matter to NHS England. Healthcare professionals have a moral obligation to support and uplift patients. I am astounded that many of your staff seem entirely indifferent to patient welfare. While your automated messages request kindness towards staff, perhaps the staff should first learn to treat patients with basic human dignity. Regards

Terrible service and frustrating medical practice nightmare

Utterly frustrating experience dealing with this surgical practice. Booking an appointment is nearly impossible, and when you finally get through, you're left waiting on hold for 20 minutes, only to be met with a dismissive and discourteous receptionist. To add insult to injury, you must then wait for a doctor to determine if your need for an appointment is even valid.

Terrible medical care left me in painful limbo

Completely unacceptable service from this medical facility. Experiencing chest pain is already distressing enough, but being told to wait until April 19th is utterly incomprehensible. I'm baffled that I'm now forced to seek medical attention at a different practice in Drayton, and I can't understand the reasoning behind this.

The on-call physician swiftly prescribed the appropriate medication to address my health concerns. When I visited the clinic, the staff were incredibly supportive, and I was able to conveniently collect my prescription from their in-house pharmacy. The customer service here is absolutely terrible. The front desk staff consistently display unprofessional attitudes and provide inaccurate details. Their level of care fluctuates wildly from one visit to the next, with no consistency. While I recognize they might be overwhelmed, basic courtesy and genuine attempts to assist patients shouldn't be difficult. It's unacceptable to continually hide behind COVID-19 as an excuse for their discourteous behavior and poor communication.

Terrible service and unprofessional pharmacy staff

The personnel here epitomize unprofessionalism at its worst. Initially, the receptionist acknowledged their error in ordering an incorrect prescription during a phone call. But upon arriving at the dispensary, the staff's behavior deteriorated dramatically. The employees spoke loudly about my partner's private medical details within earshot of others, completely disregarding confidentiality. They then compounded their misconduct by attempting to blame my partner for the medication mix-up, despite their own clear mistake. The experience was so deplorable that I would now prefer to endure a walk-in clinic's inefficiency over returning here. Their conduct is absolutely unacceptable, and they desperately need mandatory training in basic customer service and professional etiquette. 🙃
