Feedback reveals a practice with significant operational challenges that overshadow its physical strengths. The facility itself is well-maintained with contemporary equipment, adequate parking, and an on-site pharmacy that receives consistent praise. Reception staff are generally described as courteous, and clinical professionals are noted as competent when accessible.
However, these positives are substantially undermined by widespread difficulties accessing care. Appointment availability emerges as a critical issue, with patients reporting lengthy telephone waiting times, ineffective booking systems, and extended delays between requesting and receiving appointments. Communication gaps are evident, including delayed responses to online requests and limited notice when clinicians are unavailable.
Patients also describe concerns about continuity of care due to frequent changes in clinical staff, alongside reports of dismissive reception experiences and insufficient clinical engagement with patient concerns. Some feedback raises concerns about care quality and medication accuracy. While a minority of patients report positive individual experiences with specific clinicians and appreciation for pharmacy services, the predominant pattern indicates the practice struggles to meet basic access expectations despite having modern facilities and generally professional staff.

Bad!
Lengthy wait times and invasive initial screening
It's frustrating that you need to share personal health information with care coordinators before receiving a telephone consultation from a GP, which can take at least two weeks to arrange, or considerably longer if you request a specific GP. The process feels inefficient.

Long phone queue needs more staff
Nearly three-quarters of an hour passed and I was still third in the queue. I would suggest considering additional staff to handle incoming calls more promptly.

Long waits and phone-only appointments frustrating
Difficulty accessing appointments and concerns about the effectiveness of remote consultations without in-person examination. Long waiting times to be seen and frustration with vaccine appointment cancellations. Feeling that the care provided lacks empathy and personal attention.

Couldn't get through on the phone line
The facility does not meet the required standards for its intended function. The service is ineffective. There appears to be a lack of genuine concern for patient wellbeing.

Bad!
Long phone queues and refused face-to-face appointments
I have found this medical practice to be deeply unsatisfactory. They have declined to offer an in-person appointment for my son despite his ongoing illness, insisting on telephone consultations only. Following a remote assessment where a viral condition was suspected, my son was advised to undergo blood tests. When I attempted to follow up on this today, I experienced significant difficulties contacting the practice. After waiting in a queue and spending considerable time on hold, my call went unanswered. I feel the level of service and responsiveness falls well short of what I would expect from a healthcare provider.

Impossible to book an appointment with a doctor
It would be beneficial if appointments with medical professionals were more readily available. The level of training required to assess patient needs at this practice appears inconsistent with standard medical qualifications. The overall experience suggests that the practice may not prioritise patient care or service quality as effectively as it could. Many people who have engaged with this practice share concerns about the standard of support provided to those seeking medical attention.

Long phone waits and unhelpful reception staff
This practice has been a disappointing experience for me. I recently waited on hold for an extended period and was informed that no appointments were available, with instructions to ring back at opening time the following day. I found the approach to handling my call to be lacking in warmth and understanding. The reception team's manner left me feeling that their customer service approach could benefit from improvement. I have rated this practice with one star, though I would have preferred to give a considerably lower rating if that were possible.

Finally felt properly listened to at appointment
I recently had an appointment with a clinician at the surgery who I found to be particularly professional and attentive. Unlike some previous experiences I've had there, this appointment felt like my concerns were genuinely heard and taken seriously. The clinician was very pleasant and approachable throughout, and I would be happy to recommend them to others seeking care at this practice.

Locked doors with no warning for a simple errand
I made the effort to walk to the practice on a pleasant day, which took over twenty minutes. Upon arrival, I found the entrance doors locked despite being able to see staff members inside near the reception area engaged in conversation. Despite attempting to open the door multiple times, they did not acknowledge my presence. The closure was due to staff training activities. My visit was only to obtain hearing aid batteries. I checked with the pharmacy, which remained open, but they were unable to assist with my request. I believe the pharmacy could potentially handle routine items such as hearing aid batteries in situations where the main surgery is closed. The pharmacy appeared quiet with no other customers present at the time. While I am reasonably mobile and found this situation merely inconvenient, I am concerned about what would happen to less able-bodied patients who might arrive to find the facility inaccessible. It should not be necessary to consult the website to determine whether the surgery is operating. The experience was disappointing overall.

Bad!
Reception staff showed little consideration for patients
Disappointing experience with the level of care and attentiveness from the front desk team. Securing an appointment proved extremely challenging, with lengthy waiting times on the phone. It was suggested that certain booking methods receive preferential treatment. The practice appears to struggle with staffing continuity, with limited arrangements made during periods of staff absence, leaving patients to wait for normal service to resume. I would recommend that those with the option to switch to an alternative practice seriously consider doing so.

Difficult to reach by phone, frequent doctor changes
It takes quite a while to get through on the telephone and there seems to be frequent changes in the medical staff seen at appointments.

Impossible to reach a doctor by phone
I am quite dissatisfied with this practice overall. It has become increasingly difficult to secure an appointment with a clinician. I spent considerable time on hold only to be directed to book online, followed by a lengthy wait for a response that ultimately resulted in being unable to obtain an appointment. The service provided to patients feels inadequate. Additionally, I was uncomfortable having to discuss sensitive health matters with a receptionist rather than directly with a medical professional. This experience has been very frustrating.

Welcoming clinic with convenient on-site pharmacy
The practice demonstrates thoughtful design throughout. The service provided was excellent. Getting an appointment and attending was straightforward. There is a pharmacy located at the practice. Parking facilities are adequate.

Hard to reach but helpful when you do
The medical professionals here are quite competent when you manage to reach them, however there are significant difficulties getting through by telephone.
