Booking delays and long waits left me frustrated

I have experienced both positive and negative aspects since becoming a patient here. The practice has attempted to reach me for a routine review, and while I acknowledge my delayed responses due to work and caring responsibilities, I have made several attempts to arrange this appointment once my circumstances improved. However, on multiple occasions when I called to book, I was informed that no appointments were available and asked to call back later. Eventually, an appointment was scheduled as a double slot for today, but we experienced a significant wait of over half an hour, which caused me to miss the second appointment. During this time, I received correspondence indicating that my medication would be discontinued if I did not make contact. I feel the practice needs to improve appointment availability and ensure their records are accurate. During today's visit, the clinician's manner felt dismissive when my brother, who I provide care for, accompanied me into the appointment. I was questioned about his presence despite him not being involved in the consultation. Following the appointment, I was instructed to call back in a week to arrange a blood test, which has left me feeling frustrated. Given these ongoing difficulties, I am seriously considering registering with a different practice.

Until recently my elderly parents were both patients at this practice. The clinical staff demonstrate genuine care and consideration, consistently making extra efforts to support their patients. Whenever appointments were needed, they could be arranged promptly on the same day. The GPs here are exceptional and provide high-quality care. The reception team members are particularly helpful and approachable, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, this is an excellent medical practice.
