Doctors Dismissed My Desperate Need for Sleep

These physicians are absolutely terrible. I'm struggling with insomnia, anxiety, and cardiac issues. I've now been awake for nearly a week, experiencing hallucinations, overwhelming paranoia, and am dangerously close to hospitalization. The extreme stress and complete lack of proper rest have severely aggravated my heart condition, and my anxiety levels are unbearably high. I practically pleaded for assistance, but the doctor dismissively claimed they couldn't help because sleeping medication is potentially habit-forming. How could a short-term prescription of a few sleeping pills possibly lead to addiction? They're essentially suggesting it's preferable to let my physical and mental health rapidly decline, risking a potential fatal heart attack, rather than provide minimal medical intervention due to an imagined addiction risk. It's absolutely shocking medical negligence. I'm stunned these individuals even managed to obtain medical degrees in the first place.

Terrible healthcare with zero patient communication

The customer service here is absolutely terrible. It's impossible to get in touch with a doctor because they seem completely disinterested in communicating or providing assistance. Instead of having a proper conversation with patients, they just send unhelpful text messages. Additionally, the staff on the phone are incredibly rude and offer no meaningful support whatsoever.

Paperwork Lost and My Health Ignored

Healthcare in the United Kingdom couldn't get much more incompetent than this practice. Their administrative errors are constant, with critical documents vanishing and crucial information mishandled. I personally endured a year-long delay, believing I was legitimately on a waiting list, when in fact the utterly negligent reception staff had simply failed to submit my paperwork. As of 2024, the situation has deteriorated further - the newly hired receptionists are bewilderingly clueless, and their automated phone system is an exercise in frustration, with wait times that seem endless.

Impossible to Get an Appointment Anywhere

This medical practice is undoubtedly the most abysmal healthcare facility imaginable. Securing a consultation via telephone is an exercise in futility, with perpetually engaged phone lines. Even after enduring endless dialing, the moment you connect with a staff member, you're informed that all available slots have been exhausted. If the rating system allowed it, I would absolutely assign zero stars to this utterly incompetent practice.

Better provision of service at a vet

I was instructed to phone in to make an appointment to see a GP. Took a number of days of and seen two HCP and two Nurses. Despite acknowledging that I should see a GP and requesting such in writing I did not get an appointment. The HCP and Nurses, 2 of which made me feel that I was inconveniencing them. I have been in great discomfort for some years .

Felt that it was my fault

This year I took a number of days off in an attempt to see a GP. I was provided with two HCPs and two nurses. My impression of two visits was that I was wasting their time. Four said that they could not help. Three said that I should see a GP. The failed appointments element where inferred as wasting their time. This practice has failed me and my continual pain persists.

It's puzzling how this clinic continues to operate, and its monopoly in Maryport seems to be its sole justification for existence. The physicians here appear to possess an extraordinary ability to diagnose complex internal conditions and concealed ailments through mere visual assessment during brief, perfunctory consultations, typically concluding with no meaningful diagnosis or recommended investigation. Their standard approach to any complaint involving a headache and additional symptoms seems to be prescribing a nasal spray as a catch-all solution. If you have genuine health concerns, I strongly advise seeking medical attention at an alternative facility.
