Incompetent surgery destroying patient care and dignity

I'm calling for this medical practice to be shut down. Incompetence has plagued them for years. Their management is abysmal and their systems are nonsensical. The doctors are never consistent. The reception and nursing staff are consistently rude and defensive when questioned. During my mother's vaccination, a nurse treated her with complete disregard, not even making eye contact and mechanically instructing her to roll up her sleeve. My mother felt dehumanized, especially during her second visit when the nurse (who was African) didn't even acknowledge her greeting and administered the injection like she was treating livestock. The place is overrun with inexperienced junior doctors who make dismissive statements like "just trust us" when they can't diagnose an issue. As someone who supports vulnerable individuals, I'm horrified by their approach. Contacting this surgery is an exercise in enduring constant subtle hostility. They make patients feel like unwelcome nuisances. During lockdown, I was even told to take back a medical sample because their pickup had already occurred - as if they couldn't store such items! Why are patients required to disclose personal medical details to receptionists who seem to arbitrarily decide patient care? This is particularly problematic for mental health concerns. They only seem to provide in-person care when a patient is critically ill. My 70-year-old mother fell and was prescribed medication over the phone without an examination. Absolutely unacceptable. While I've changed doctors, my mother remains trapped with this terrible practice due to proximity.

Hours passed without any communication, so I attempted to follow up, only to discover they had already shuttered for the day. This isn't an isolated incident; a similar situation occurred just a month prior, which is becoming increasingly frustrating. Additionally, when I sought to book a second appointment for my child, I was informed they limit households to a single daily consultation. This policy seems absurd - what are families supposed to do when multiple members require medical attention? Ultimately, customer service is paramount, yet some staff members demonstrate not just incompetence, but a genuinely dismissive and unpleasant demeanor. If the rating system permitted, I would absolutely assign zero stars to this medical practice.

Dr. Chawla used to be associated with a more respectful team, where the staff valued patient interactions. However, since Dr. Matukia began performing surgeries, the reception personnel have become extremely disrespectful and unpleasant.

Terrible service and impossible to get help

3/10 scheduling an appointment is an absolute nightmare, and if you manage to get one, the consultation is rushed and barely lasts five minutes. Attempting to refill prescriptions via email is consistently futile. The front desk personnel are dismissive and seem to deliberately disregard patients. While I recognize the staff is stretched thin and overwhelmed, it's unacceptable to accept more patients than they can reasonably handle with adequate care and attention.

Venkat saved the day with exceptional care

Venkat at the front desk was exceptionally helpful and compassionate. Last week, my daughter was seriously ill. When I initially called in the morning to book an appointment, the receptionist said someone would contact me back. However, no call came until 2 pm. I then hurried to the medical center. Venkat was working the reception at that moment. He assured me someone would call, but upon my urgent request, he promptly arranged an immediate doctor's appointment. His flexibility was truly commendable, understanding that some situations require bending standard procedures. He was willing to find an available slot and accommodate my needs instead of rigidly adhering to the original schedule. I successfully saw the doctor and obtained the necessary medication. My encounter was extremely unsatisfactory. I was suffering from a high fever and attempted to schedule a doctor's appointment, but they redirected me to a pharmacy instead. My health deteriorated, forcing me to seek emergency care. My specialist nurses were shocked at how my GP handled my situation. I was hospitalized, and upon recovery, the doctors discharged me with a stern warning to my GP about not referring me to a pharmacy in similar circumstances.

Terrible service from unhelpful surgery staff

Mathukia surgery app performed adequately. The general practitioners were excellent. Reception employees were unfriendly. And the surgery manager was completely unsatisfactory. I had been a long-standing patient at this Surgery. One day, after installing the NHS app, I was unexpectedly deregistered without warning. When I approached the reception staff about this problem, they suggested the Surgery Manager could assist me. However, after a week of waiting, manager Shannon proved entirely unhelpful and refused to communicate directly. She directed staff to inform me that I was no longer registered, effectively washing her hands of the situation. This entire ordeal was extremely frustrating and deeply disappointing.
