Reception staff sorted everything out efficiently

I recently visited the surgery and was assisted by a member of the reception team. I had several matters requiring attention and they were handled efficiently. These included arranging an appointment with a doctor and guidance on using the online booking system, scheduling a vaccination appointment, obtaining a blood test form for a health matter I'm managing, and receiving information about an available immunisation. The receptionist was pleasant, courteous and professional throughout, demonstrating excellent customer service standards. They were a real asset to the practice. My experience at reception was excellent and would have merited the highest rating. However, I did experience a delay during my subsequent clinical appointment that afternoon, which affected my overall satisfaction.

What was once an excellent medical practice has experienced a significant decline over recent years. When clinical staff were regularly available at the surgery, the service was outstanding. I visited shortly before the Christmas period hoping to arrange an appointment for my son, only to be informed that all doctors had already concluded their holiday schedules, which was several days before Christmas itself. Additionally, my other son's routine health reviews are conducted with varying staff members rather than consistent continuity of care, which feels disorganised and unsatisfactory.
