Consistently Awful Experiences

This practice has seriously gone down hill post Covid. It wasn’t great before Covid! Impossible to get an appt. My Husband has to wait 14 days for an Appt. for a complaint he has already been treated for previously that hasn’t been resolved after a month!!! Followed EConsult etc. If you say you don’t want to see a Physicians Assistant which is absolutely your legal right it appears you are deprioritised for health care. These people are not fully qualified Doctors and no-one should be forced to accept an appointment with one. If you make a formal written complaint none bothers to reply. The reception staff have far too much influence over patient care and are not made accountable for their poor judgement or treatment of patients with undiagnosed and even diagnosed conditions. Just awful, stressful and unacceptable from a public health service.

The Reception Staff have also been consistently welcoming and supportive. My most recent visit introduced me to Dr Luke Stinson, who proved equally outstanding. His professional approach was notable - he demonstrated genuine concern and methodical interest while examining me. As I described my symptoms, he systematically investigated potential causes, progressively narrowing down possibilities with precision. This approach provided me with significant comfort and clarity. During subsequent consultations, his detailed explanations about my symptoms and the rationale behind prescribed medication were equally comprehensive. I feel profound appreciation for Mildmay Practice's exceptional service, which feels especially remarkable considering the immense current challenges facing our NHS. My gratitude is heartfelt.

I'm thoroughly disheartened by the subpar service and complete absence of proper communication. A referral was provided for me to forward to my primary care physician about a condition that significantly impacts my everyday functioning. After waiting for three weeks, I still have no progress to report. When I inquired today, I discovered the referral hadn't even been transmitted. Such prolonged delays and poor responsiveness are absolutely unacceptable, particularly when medical issues are involved. I anticipated a higher standard of professional care and fundamental operational competence from a healthcare provider.

The medical professionals and administrative team demonstrated genuine empathy and warmth, which I truly valued. Nevertheless, even after consistently describing identical symptoms for approximately 18 months, no comprehensive diagnostic tests or additional examinations were performed. Regrettably, I was compelled to pursue medical care internationally, where thyroid complications were ultimately detected. By that point, the nodular growths had expanded to such an extent that surgical intervention became necessary. I deeply regret that the underlying condition was not recognized and addressed earlier in its progression.

Today's consultation with Dr Luke Stinson was a complete revelation - he was attentive, compassionate, and genuinely listened to my concerns. We thoroughly discussed potential treatment approaches and considered adjusting my HRT medication, with a follow-up review scheduled in three months. I was genuinely skeptical that such high-quality care could be found in a London GP practice.
