Feedback on this practice reveals a deeply polarised patient experience with significant inconsistencies across service areas. Reception staff conduct emerges as a persistent concern, with multiple patients reporting discourteous interactions, gatekeeping behaviour, and poor appointment booking experiences. Patients describe difficulty securing timely appointments, lengthy waiting times, and administrative delays affecting prescription management and follow-up communication. Conversely, medical professionals receive consistent praise for attentiveness, compassion, and thorough care, with several patients highlighting exceptional listening skills and reassuring approaches. The practice demonstrates notable variation in service quality, with some patients experiencing smooth, efficient interactions and others encountering frustration with accessibility and responsiveness. Communication gaps appear particularly problematic, including missed referral submissions, delayed test result discussions, and inadequate follow-up on administrative matters. While clinical care is frequently commended, systemic organisational issues around appointment availability, reception courtesy, and administrative coordination require urgent attention to bridge the gap between the quality of medical care and the broader patient experience.
Patients who have engaged with specific staff members often report exceptional service, suggesting individual commitment exists within the practice. However, the frequency of complaints regarding reception gatekeeping, appointment access difficulties, and administrative responsiveness indicates these issues are widespread rather than isolated. Some long-term patients express satisfaction with continuity of care, while newer patients frequently struggle with registration processes and initial access. The practice appears to have undergone recent management changes that some patients perceive as positive, though appointment availability challenges persist. For patients requiring consistent medical supervision or those with complex health needs, the unpredictable access to appointments and variable communication standards present genuine concerns about care continuity and responsiveness.

Excellent!
Quick and efficient healthcare experience
Exceptional online consultation experience. The procedure was quite uncomplicated, with a rapid analysis of my medical test results from my general practitioner. The medical facility was immaculate, efficiently managed, and staffed by courteous, supportive personnel. Fingers crossed I won't have reason to return, haha!

Bad!
Terrible healthcare service that fails patients completely
This medical practice is absolutely dreadful, securing an appointment seems impossible. They exclusively offer consultations far in advance, with scheduling windows stretching months out. When attempting to book urgent next-day care, you're instructed to phone at 8am, but the phone lines are perpetually jammed. I've concluded it's genuinely more practical to manage my health concerns independently.

Poor!
Frustrating and inefficient booking process
Scheduling an appointment was an incredibly frustrating process. The online system was confusing and unintuitive, making it difficult to find available time slots. When I finally managed to select a date, the confirmation seemed unreliable. Customer service was unhelpful and seemed disinterested in resolving my booking issues. Overall, this was a disappointing and time-consuming experience that left me feeling discouraged about working with this organization.

Terrible medical practice with zero patient care
This practice is terrible. I recently relocated to the area and switched to their clinic. I haven't experienced a single positive interaction with them. The management and administration desperately require a complete restructuring. The transfer process was incredibly frustrating. I had to make numerous phone calls and repeatedly email my documents. The reception staff consistently appear overwhelmed and burdened by administrative tasks. Getting an appointment seems nearly impossible, as if you must sacrifice something precious. I'm extremely fortunate to have access to a private GP; otherwise, I would have faced significant healthcare challenges with this clinic. After persistent calling, I finally secured a blood test, but no one followed up to discuss the results or develop a treatment plan. I sincerely hope the clinic's leadership reviews this feedback and implementing critical improvements, especially given the numerous negative reviews. It's abundantly clear that substantial changes are urgently needed.

Compassionate nurse made my medical visit bearable
I'd like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Breda, the nurse who made an otherwise challenging medical procedure so much more bearable. Typically, I approach such visits with significant anxiety, but her professional and compassionate approach immediately put me at ease. Her friendly demeanor and expert guidance helped me through the experience, minimizing my discomfort. Breda's skillful and efficient handling of the procedure meant it was completed swiftly, and her supportive attitude was truly remarkable. She is undoubtedly a tremendous resource for the medical practice.

Disappointing healthcare with poor administrative practices
Incapable of delivering the reliable and professional service they advertise. Their supposed commitment to patient-focused healthcare is entirely absent, despite their claims of excellence. Administrative mistakes appear to be standard operating procedure.

Exceptional healthcare service with compassionate professionals
I've been a patient at this medical practice for three years now, and I can confidently say that both the reception team and physicians have been consistently excellent. Recently, I've required more frequent medical attention, and I've been thoroughly impressed by the doctors' approach. Their expertise, compassion, attentiveness, and ability to provide reassurance have been remarkable. They've been quick to arrange specialist referrals, have followed up with supportive calls, and have maintained ongoing care for my health needs. The recent claims about poor service seem completely unfounded. I want to express my sincere gratitude to the dedicated NHS doctors and staff at Mildmay for their outstanding commitment and professionalism.

Declining medical care at family practice beware
If you're seeking cough medicine or a medical sick note, this place might suffice. However, proceed with extreme caution - this warning is not issued lightly. Having been my family's medical practice for 25 to 30 years, and once ranked among the top ten GP surgeries nationally, those glory days are long gone. Since Dr Wheeler's retirement, the practice has dramatically deteriorated across all aspects. The receptionists are unprofessional, poorly coordinated, and fail to manage the surgery's daily operations to the standard one would expect from a healthcare facility. This mismanagement directly compromises patient care. Following Dr Wheeler's retirement, the practice relied on locum doctors for approximately a year. Now, with permanent doctors in full-time positions, the service quality and patient care remain abysmal, virtually non-existent, and demonstrably neglectful. The physicians merely occupy roles without delivering meaningful medical attention. For individuals with serious medical conditions requiring consistent medical supervision, I strongly recommend avoiding this practice. Their systemic neglect, incompetence, and casual approach virtually guarantee potential patient deterioration. The risk of developing irreversible medical conditions is substantial. This surgery should be unequivocally avoided.

Dangerous medical practice with zero patient care
If I could award zero rating points, I absolutely would. These individuals seem to have zero concern for human welfare, and it's bewildering how they're permitted to continue practicing. Picture attempting to secure urgent medical assistance during the pandemic, requesting critical referrals and expedited appointments. Being deliberately misled (by both reception staff and physicians) and assured multiple times that your case was marked urgent. Later discovering that everything was actually classified as routine. When confronting DR BASSI via telephone, I was met with dismissive claims about referral submission. Upon calling the number HE personally provided, I was immediately informed no referral had been received. I've already attempted to escalate my concerns to the practice manager, only to be patronizingly told they're doing their absolute best and that I should simply wait. PATIENCE. RECOMMENDED IN THE MIDST OF CLEAR MEDICAL CARELESSNESS. Absolutely disgraceful.

Terrible reception staff ruin a great medical practice
The front desk personnel are discourteous and provide abysmal service, which is truly disheartening because the medical professionals are actually quite excellent. They desperately require a complete overhaul of their reception team.

Great care and compassion at this medical practice
An outstanding medical practice in London that truly stands out. Every staff member, from the front desk team to the pharmacists and physicians, has consistently provided exceptional service. Multiple times, they've demonstrated remarkable dedication by thoroughly addressing all my questions and concerns. I'm incredibly grateful and wholeheartedly endorse this practice. Dipika

Compassionate care helps me through tough times
I want to express my gratitude to the staff and wish them a joyful Christmas and a prosperous new year. I especially want to thank Sevcan and Jodie, who have recently departed, for their incredible support and compassion during my struggles with anxiety. They have been instrumental in helping me navigate through challenging periods. I also extend my appreciation to Dr. Bassi for his outstanding support in managing my anxiety. This medical practice means a great deal to me, and I sincerely hope that the current team continues to be recognized and appreciated as much as I value them. My heartfelt thanks also go to the behind-the-scenes staff for their tireless efforts and dedication.

Terrible healthcare and frustrating patient experience
Ever since Dr Diane Wheeler took over, this GP practice has become utterly ineffective. As a diabetic patient, securing appointments is nearly impossible, and I'm consistently forced to endure lengthy waits in A&E to receive basic medical attention. Dr Patrick Mcdaid has repeatedly pledged improvements, but these promises remain empty. They don't even have a nurse available for consultations. The situation with the receptionists is equally frustrating - while not all are problematic, many seem to treat patients like unwelcome intruders. I've witnessed numerous instances of patient mistreating, but fear of becoming their next target prevents intervention. It's deeply disappointing that NHS registration restrictions limit my options for finding alternative healthcare providers.

Unprofessional receptionist ruins customer experience
The receptionist is an incredibly discourteous young woman. I've encountered her multiple times over the past few weeks, and her unprofessional demeanor is consistently appalling. Her gum-chewing is obnoxious and disrespectful, with audible smacking that's inappropriate in a professional setting. Moreover, when phone calls come in, she dramatically sighs and mutters exasperated comments like "oh god" or "oh, again," seemingly unaware or uncaring that both the caller and nearby customers can perceive her contempt. This represents EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE. It's baffling how someone with such a dismissive and insensitive attitude is employed in a position where individuals might be dealing with critical or sensitive matters.

Frustrating healthcare experience with unhelpful receptionists
I attempted to schedule an appointment for today or tomorrow, but was informed I must call back tomorrow morning to book. Why should a patient have to make multiple calls just to secure a medical consultation? This was a critical health matter requiring potential antibiotic treatment, and they redirected me to call 111. What happened to their medical ethics and commitment to patient care? This is an absurd excuse for a healthcare service, particularly the front desk staff. The practice feels more like a disinterested hotel lobby than a professional medical facility. I'm baffled how they receive funding from the NHS for such substandard patient treatment.

Nightmare reception ruins potential decent medical care
The receptionist at this gloomy, oppressive medical clinic embodies the quintessential unhelpful bureaucrat, reminiscent of the infamous "computer says no" character from Little Britain! (She's positioned awkwardly to the right upon entry) Her demeanor is so aggressively unhelpful that it would be comical if each visit didn't involve genuine health concerns or sensitive personal matters that require compassionate handling. Once you navigate past this gatekeeping obstacle, the actual medical staff are marginally tolerable. Actually, no - they're terrible. I would have rated this place zero stars if the rating system permitted it.
