Staff listened and acted on waiting area feedback
I've been registered here for years and the staff have always been polite and helpful. Unlike at my previous doctors surgery, I've always been able to see the same clinician and they listen and explain well. I once noticed the children's waiting area had nothing for children and left a note in the suggestions box, and the next time I returned, my suggestion had been listened to and there were lots of children's books available.

I question how this practice maintains its registration. If you're looking to have a negative experience, this would be the place for it. The team members are unhelpful and seem dismissive. I found them to be lacking in competence; they scheduled an appointment without providing me with the specific time. I believe their approach to treating all patients fairly and with respect requires closer examination.

Deregistered without issuing transition prescription support
I am submitting this review on behalf of my family member who experiences significant mental health challenges. This practice was expected to provide a prescription for medication to facilitate a smooth transition to a different GP surgery. However, the practice deregistered my family member without issuing the necessary prescription. We are currently working to secure a prescription to prevent potential withdrawal effects when the existing medication supply is depleted. A healthcare professional explained to me that GP surgeries operate as independent businesses providing services to the NHS. Some prioritise business operations over patient care. I will not elaborate further on this point. I have lodged a formal complaint with NHS England regarding this practice's approach and what I perceive as a failure in their duty of care towards my family member.

Reception was dismissive about midwife delays
I am in early pregnancy and have been waiting for two weeks without receiving contact from maternity services. When I called to follow up, the person who answered was dismissive and suggested I should be the one initiating contact with my assigned healthcare provider, despite not having been given their details or had an appointment arranged. I was told I should already have a phone number, which I do not possess as no one has reached out to me yet. I feel frustrated with the lack of communication and remain waiting to hear from the maternity team.

Refused tests despite hospital recommendations
After being advised multiple times by the hospital that I needed extended monitoring tests, the doctor declined to arrange any further investigations and attributed my concerns to anxiety. I have been a patient here for many years and feel the service has declined since a previous doctor departed. I am pleased to finally be receiving the additional tests I require, and my readings have improved after being elevated for an extended period. I found the experience disappointing and feel the service fell short of expectations.
