Frustrating phone experience with unresponsive medical practice

Attempted to contact this medical office between 8:15 and 9:00 to schedule an appointment. After 25 unsuccessful attempts, I finally drove down to the clinic, only to be informed that the doctor would return my call. Strangely, the waiting room was completely empty. How can this be considered acceptable service?

I strongly advise against visiting this medical facility due to the unprofessional and disrespectful communication from the personnel, coupled with a noticeable lack of hygiene standards. The staff's behavior is unacceptably discourteous!!!

Instructed to call at 8:15am, but upon attempting to do so, was informed to try again the following day due to being fully booked. This has been happening for four consecutive days now, and I've still received no assistance. Absolutely cannot endorse this service in any way!

Exceptional care during challenging pandemic times

I've been a loyal patient at this practice for years, and their service has never been better! Throughout the pandemic, they've consistently provided face-to-face consultations, implemented convenient callback systems, and developed digital platforms for doctor consultations. They've been incredibly supportive in managing my repeat prescriptions, helping me minimize unnecessary trips and protect my vulnerable health status. Their approach to my declining health issues has been exceptional. Today, after visiting A&E, I called at 2pm, and the doctors promptly arranged my medication to ensure I wouldn't be without over the weekend. Despite being a large surgery with numerous registered patients, I can typically get through to them within 20-30 minutes. The receptionists remain courteous and helpful, even when faced with challenging interactions, and they're always willing to assist with inquiries. Additionally, they've introduced weekend appointments and successfully maintained their GP services while coordinating vaccination efforts.

Frustrating appointments with unpredictable scheduling chaos

I'm extremely frustrated that scheduling an appointment has become impossible. They previously claimed appointments were available solely at 9am, but now it's 8:45am, and the timetable seems to shift arbitrarily. Delays appear to be this medical practice's defining characteristic. When I phoned at 9:00 am, I discovered nine individuals were already waiting ahead of me. Is this GP's patient capacity truly limited to just nine people?

Friendly doctors offset by unhelpful receptionist

The medical staff at the clinic were excellent and supportive, but the receptionist's attitude left much to be desired. The younger female receptionist with dark hair, in particular, came across as quite discourteous and would benefit significantly from additional customer service training to improve her interpersonal communication skills.

Rude front desk ruins medical center experience

The front desk staff, particularly a dark-haired older woman, consistently demonstrate an unpleasant demeanor. Throughout my decade-long experience at this medical center, the reception has only deteriorated, especially during COVID-19, which increased my interactions with the front desk. Even when I was six months pregnant, I expected more respectful treatment, but was sorely disappointed. I'm deeply concerned for vulnerable individuals who might struggle to advocate for themselves in such an unwelcoming environment. In contrast, the doctors and nurses have been supportive, guiding me through challenging times and providing necessary specialist referrals. However, first impressions are crucial, and the hostile reception undermines the entire patient experience. When the initial point of contact is so unwelcoming and disrespectful, regardless of a patient's medical concerns, it severely damages the center's reputation. I would not recommend this facility to anyone - not even my worst enemy.
