Switching surgeries saved our sanity

I've been loyal to this medical practice for over two decades, only visiting when absolutely essential. However, the quality of service, professional standards, and patient care have been steadily deteriorating over the past five years. In fact, their performance is now utterly abysmal. Attempting to contact them by phone has become a nightmare - I spent three consecutive weeks making daily calls before finally getting through. When I did secure an appointment, I still had to wait another two weeks. During this period, I submitted transfer requests for both myself and my husband. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment, I was informed that the transfer had been processed that very morning, and without any direct communication with me (not even a courtesy email), they arbitrarily cancelled the appointments we had been waiting weeks to attend. Their dismissive suggestion was simply to contact the new surgery. So I did exactly that, and what a transformative experience! Within a brief five-minute phone call that was answered immediately, my husband and I were scheduled for the following week at times that perfectly accommodated our schedules. Ultimately, leaving this practice has been the most beneficial decision for me and my family!

Impossible to reach medical surgery nightmare

Attempted to contact the medical office but encountered insurmountable communication barriers. Spent a fortnight futilely trying to reach someone, only to find myself in an even more challenging health predicament. The frustration has driven me to a state of nervous exhaustion, reminiscent of a character's tic from a popular animated show. The entire ordeal has been so overwhelming that I now feel metaphorically defeated. What a wonderful system we have here.

Endless calls for a simple sick note

After dedicating 38 years to my job, I attempted to obtain a sick note following two surgeries in a single week. It took me 19 attempts just to reach someone at 8:30am. I was promised a callback, but no one contacted me. When I called the surgery again at 3:30pm, I was informed the doctor would call between 4:30 and 6:30pm. Now it's 8pm, and still no callback, leaving me completely stressed out. As a result, my manager is unable to arrange cover since I can't provide the necessary sick note documentation.

Worst medical practice ever at 9:55am

I've encountered the most incompetent general practitioner imaginable. They insist you ring before 10am, but the contact number is perpetually non-functional, and when you attempt to call at 09:55, they claim it's practically 10am and refuse appointment bookings. For any urgent medical situation, their sole advice is to dial 999. Upon arriving in person, they immediately dismiss you, instructing you to schedule via phone or the equally unreliable askmyGp platform. Even when you miraculously secure an appointment, the doctors consistently fail to return calls. They continually solicit new patients while neglecting their existing clientele. In response to this abysmal service, I've formally lodged a complaint with the Care Quality Commission!

Impossible to get a doctor's appointment

Securing a medical consultation here is virtually impossible, regardless of your health condition's urgency or complexity! Attempting to schedule an appointment is an incredibly frustrating experience. The front desk staff invariably claims no availability, suggesting only a potential telephone consultation... but don't expect any actual follow-up call. This medical practice is shockingly mismanaged, and I'm definitively switching providers. I strongly advise everyone who cares about their medical well-being to do the same and seek care elsewhere.

Loud doctor ignored my back surgery concerns

Basker descended the staircase, speaking loudly, supposedly to assess my back following my surgical procedure. However, he did not conduct any examination and instead retreated upstairs, continuing to speak in an elevated tone. I was unable to discern the reason for his agitated vocalization.

Dr Baskar is truly an exceptional physician. I initially consulted him regarding a foot problem, but he astutely observed that my neck appeared abnormal. As a result, I'm now undergoing a thyroid lump removal. His medical approach is incredibly comprehensive and compassionate. I'm delighted to have him as my primary care doctor.

Phone lines impossible to reach

I'm not receiving treatment at this medical office, but my husband and mother-in-law are patients. I've been attempting to contact them for more than 30 minutes and remain on hold. During previous call attempts throughout the day, I've been unable to connect. When you finally do reach someone, they claim no available appointments are left. The practice desperately needs additional phone lines, as some patients might require urgent medical consultations.
