Worst service after 16 years of loyalty

Absolute worst service I've ever encountered! Abandon this company immediately, switch to any alternative, or you'll face terrible mistreatment and complete disappointment with zero assistance! I can't even begin to describe their awfulness, and I won't elaborate on all the details because it would take too long. I've been a customer for 16 years, using their service only a handful of times, and I'm overjoyed to finally be cutting ties with them forever!!!!

Unhelpful staff destroyed my first impression

Absolutely appalling. When my spouse attempted to schedule a consultation regarding my ongoing medical condition, the staff member was incredibly discourteous and refused to book an appointment. This represents an extremely poor first impression of our new general practitioner's office.

Confusion and chaos at the medical surgery

My husband went for a scheduled blood test based on his appointment card for 13:20. The receptionist claimed there was no record of his current or previous appointment on 24.03.25 in their system. They also stated they don't schedule appointments during staff lunch hours. I was forced to reschedule for 15:20 today and kept the original appointment card. Upon returning, they suddenly insisted they did have an appointment for 13:20 originally, offering no clarification for the earlier confusion. We've now rebooked for 24.03.25. The staff appears completely disorganized and unable to manage their basic scheduling process.

Quick help for my knee injury

During the holiday season, I suffered a knee injury and called the medical practice during the break between Christmas and New Year. To my surprise, I quickly connected with a representative and was promptly scheduled for a physiotherapy consultation at Carmel Surgery the very next day. The physiotherapist provided an expert diagnosis and offered helpful rehabilitation exercises. I'm truly impressed by the exceptional care and efficiency of the NHS.

Tired of being prescribed the same meds

Initially, I was quite satisfied with this place and never experienced the discourteous treatment some other patients describe. However, I've grown increasingly frustrated because certain doctors appear to only partially acknowledge my health concerns. I repeatedly find myself being prescribed medications I've already tried and explicitly stated were ineffective, instead of receiving referrals to specialists or developing a comprehensive treatment strategy. This ongoing situation is genuinely draining and disheartening.

Tracey was nice, others were terrible

Steer clear of this medical procedure, as the front desk staff are incredibly unprofessional. Sarah and Chloe are particularly dreadful, displaying terrible attitudes. The only tolerable receptionist is Tracey, who actually shows some courtesy. The other two should seriously be fired for their abysmal customer service.

Frustrating morning trying to get an appointment

Over the past quarter-century, this medical practice has significantly declined in quality. Their so-called "emergency" appointment system, particularly the 8am rush, is completely ineffective. By 8:10am, all slots are filled, leaving patients with no alternatives except visiting A&E, enduring a grueling 6-hour wait, and subsequently receiving a patronizing lecture from nursing staff about supposedly wasting time. Their electronic consultation system is problematically managed by administrative personnel without medical training, who appear to assess cases based on emotional responses rather than genuine medical urgency.

Frustrating walk-in clinic near home

Attempting to contact them via phone is futile since they never pick up. Their weekly Wednesday "training" seems to disrupt patient care. Despite having only a few patients, they consistently mismanage appointment scheduling. The interior of the facility appears dated and dilapidated. Although I'd prefer to switch providers, the convenient proximity—just two streets away—makes it manageable, especially when traveling with our small child.

Amazingly supportive experience

I’ve been with Moorlands surgery for 21 years now and ran into a little difficulty getting an appointment for a blood test. I spoke to Julie the supervisor who provided an outstanding service making sure the system was updated to make sure this wouldn’t happen again.

Friendly staff made my checkup better

I must admit that, overall, Moorlands offers a commendable level of care. The front desk staff are courteous and accommodating. The nursing team demonstrates competence, and the Nurse Practitioner I consulted recently (I believe her name was Rachel) was comprehensive, skilled, and calming. Dr. Ramos, with whom I've had some interactions lately, is excellent. In my view, it's crucial to follow up on medical tests and blood work.
