Moorlands surgery saved us during tough times

During my recent stay in Darlington to look after my aging, unwell parents, I've experienced nothing short of exceptional medical attention from the physicians at Moorlands Surgery. Their prescription department has been incredibly efficient, organizing my parents' medications into convenient blister packs, and the medication hub has consistently ensured prompt delivery of any required prescriptions. My mother has been a patient at this practice since the 1940s and has always found their service to be completely satisfactory.

Frustrating doctor's visit with no help

These medical professionals stubbornly refuse to honor prescriptions from other physicians, seemingly on a whim. The leadership is conspicuously absent and unresponsive. If the rating system allowed it, I would assign this place the absolute lowest possible score. I am actively seeking to transfer my healthcare services elsewhere at the earliest opportunity!

Phone lines tricky but care is solid

Considering the financial constraints facing the NHS, I find this medical practice provides an excellent overall service. I'd give a perfect score if not for the morning telephone booking process, which can be incredibly slow and annoying due to persistent busy signals. I appreciate the compassionate care you provide to your patients.

Morrlands is an absolute disaster 🤬🤬🤬 I just wasted 30 minutes on hold, only to be abruptly disconnected. How am I supposed to schedule a crucial midwife appointment when your service is this incompetent? Your entire team deserves to be fired!

Long wait but great staff overall

Some staff members at the reception are delightful, while others come across as somewhat haughty. I've yet to encounter a doctor who isn't kind, with Dr. Cooling being particularly compassionate and attentive. The nurse practitioners, Mark and Pauline, are equally pleasant. The main issue lies in the difficulty of securing a timely appointment, as I've frequently waited over two hours past my scheduled time. It seems this small practice is overwhelmed by the number of patients, and the growing neighborhood could benefit from an additional medical facility to alleviate the strain and improve patient wait times.

Fifty years and now a total nightmare

I've been a patient at this practice for half a century, typically enjoying excellent health, but lately it's been incredibly frustrating to secure a consultation. The medications prescribed have been ineffective, with physicians simply increasing dosages without exploring alternative treatments. The medical staff's approach feels coldly mechanical and indifferent, reminiscent of a deeply impersonal and callous system.

Chicken bake drama outside gregs pharmacy

GOT CAUGHT MUNCHING A CHICKEN PASTRY NEAR GREG'S BY THE PRESCRIPTION STAFF, WHO IS ALSO AWARE I'M ON COMPLAN. MISTAKING HER FOR A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL, SHE CLAIMED SHE'D HALT MY TREATMENT. I'M TERRIFIED TO CONSUME SOLID FOODS OR REST AFTER EATING, HAVING BEEN HOSPITALIZED 4 TIMES IN RECENT MONTHS FOR ACCIDENTALLY INHALING STOMACH CONTENTS. I WAS ADMITTED THIS FRIDAY BECAUSE SHE OMITTED 2 CRUCIAL STABILIZING MEDICATIONS. IF THEY CAN'T REGULATE MY STOMACH FUNCTION, DOCTORS ARE DISCUSSING SURGICAL INTERVENTION - LIFTING AND WRAPPING MY STOMACH AROUND MY ESOPHAGUS - A PROCEDURE I MIGHT REQUIRE DUE TO THIS RECKLESS WOMAN WITHHOLDING MY MEDICATION. I'VE BEEN HOSPITALIZED 6 TIMES IN UNDER 4 MONTHS, BOTH TO REDUCE ACID PRODUCTION AND MINIMIZE BILE. MY DIETICIAN RESTORED COMPLAN TO MY WEEKLY REGIMEN, BUT PRESCRIPTION ITEMS ARE NOW BEING SKIPPED. THIS PERSON ENDANGERING MY LIFE DESERVES IMMEDIATE DISMISSAL. I WILL REPORT TO THE SURGERY AND SEEK A LAWYER TO PURSUE LEGAL ACTION FOR GROSS NEGLIGENCE. I WILL METICULOUSLY DOCUMENT WHO IS PRODUCING AND WHO IS OMITTING MY MEDICATIONS. THE NHS EXISTS TO PROTECT LIVES, NOT JEOPARDIZE THEM. I BELIEVE THE WOMAN RESPONSIBLE IS NAMED LUCY, AND I WILL COMPILE COMPREHENSIVE DOCUMENTATION, WITH COURT ACTION BEING MY ULTIMATE RECOURSE.
