Patient Experience Summary

Patient feedback reveals a deeply polarised experience at this practice, with stark contrasts between those receiving responsive digital communication and same-day appointments, and those struggling with appointment access and reception courtesy. Digital channels deliver prompt responses, with prescriptions processed within hours and consultations scheduled rapidly for urgent requests. However, the booking experience presents significant barriers: phone lines experience lengthy wait times, the website functionality is frequently unavailable, and the same-day appointment system creates accessibility challenges for working patients and those unable to call precisely at 8am. Reception staff courtesy varies considerably, with some patients reporting dismissive or unhelpful interactions that discourage engagement, whilst others praise welcoming and professional service. Clinical care receives consistent praise for thoroughness and compassion, yet administrative inefficiency undermines the overall experience, with delayed referrals, inconsistent communication about appointment procedures, and limited continuity of care affecting patient confidence.

The practice demonstrates capability in urgent response and clinical attention, evidenced by positive feedback regarding rapid diagnosis, supportive nursing care, and attentive medical professionals. Patients value same-day appointment availability when accessible and appreciate the responsiveness of digital messaging systems. Conversely, systemic issues around appointment scheduling, website reliability, and reception experience create frustration that appears to have intensified post-pandemic. Concerns centre on the restrictive call-on-the-day booking model, which disadvantages those unable to contact the practice at opening time, and the apparent unwillingness of reception staff to facilitate bookings despite availability. These operational barriers contrast sharply with the clinical quality patients experience, suggesting the practice's challenges are primarily administrative rather than clinical in nature.

Nightmare Wait at Clinic Today

Terrible customer service with incredibly discourteous employees. Endured a 60-minute wait and still haven't been assisted. The experience is so bad that I'd give zero stars if possible, but one star is the lowest rating available.

Quick Response at Moss Grove Surgery

I've been a long-time patient at Moss Grove and needed medical attention, so I looked them up online and noticed their seemingly low rating. After sending an email at 9:30, I was amazed when the clinic contacted me by 9:52, offering an appointment at 2:20. In just five hours, I received exceptional care from a physician who thoroughly explained my condition. This was particularly impressive considering I mentioned my situation wasn't pressing and would have been content waiting a few days. I believe the online rating doesn't accurately reflect their service quality, and if you engage with their system, they truly deserve a five-star rating.

Frustrating morning trying to book a doctor's appointment

For working individuals who earn their living, securing a medical consultation has become an incredibly frustrating experience that essentially forces people into emergency departments! This entire "call-on-the-day" approach is utterly ridiculous. You dial at 8am, join a queue, then get disconnected, and by 8:25am when you finally connect, all appointments have vanished. Seriously, what possible issue could there be with scheduling appointments in advance for non-emergency situations? This would surely keep same-day slots open for urgent medical needs. My health condition has significantly deteriorated because you refused to book me an earlier appointment, meaning I'll now have to overwhelm the hospital system - exactly the scenario I presumed you were trying to prevent! So here's a sarcastic little thank you for being so spectacularly unhelpful!!

Terrible Care After 30 Years of Loyalty

I've been a patient at this medical practice for three decades, and it's become absolutely unbearable. Securing a consultation is practically hopeless, and the rare times you actually manage an appointment, the physicians display a complete lack of compassion and professional competence. I strongly advise anyone seeking genuine medical care to find an alternative healthcare provider!

Quick Help at Moss Grove When I Needed It

I typically develop diverticulitis due to stress, and after completing my information online, I had a prescription ready within an hour. This allowed me to begin my antibiotics immediately. Kudos to the entire team at Moss Grove Kingswinford for providing exceptional service during these challenging times when people are often critical. Your dedication and support are truly commendable.

Worst Surgery in Kingswinford Ever

Moss Grove medical practice is a complete disaster that deserves immediate shutdown. Their communication and service are abysmal: phone lines are perpetually jammed, making receptionist contact nearly impossible. Booking appointments is a futile exercise - whether with doctors or nurses, securing a slot seems like an unattainable goal. During a recent visit, my son experienced the staff's unhelpful attitude when a receptionist refused to process a nurse appointment through the intercom. The morning appointment booking system is a cruel joke; calling precisely at 8:00am guarantees zero availability, with the implied suggestion to try again tomorrow. It feels like the surgery deliberately restricts public access, transforming healthcare into an inaccessible bureaucratic nightmare. Their performance in Kingswinford is so spectacularly poor that the one-star rating is embarrassingly generous - they truly deserve a negative rating, ideally minus ten stars!!

No Help When I Needed It Most

Absolutely terrible experience. Tested positive for COVID-19, and as a 71-year-old with asthma, I'm in a vulnerable position and feeling very distressed. When I sought medical assistance, I was flatly refused telephone consultations and directed to book online. However, the online system showed zero available appointments. Completely unacceptable and deeply frustrating.

Website Frustration at My Local Surgery

In response to my previous complaint and your subsequent reply, I did not imply that the staff lack compassion; they clearly appear frustrated by continually apologizing for the woefully inadequate website Which seems to operate on a limited, part-time basis. I've been a patient at this practice for many years, and it's currently at its lowest point. The facility is undeniably pristine, stylish, and contemporary, yet the underlying system is fundamentally flawed. I urge you to address these issues urgently before a critical situation potentially becomes life-threatening. Bernard Glaze

Moss Grove Practice: Downhill and Disappointing

Moss Grove has seriously gone downhill. What was once a tolerable medical center is now a complete disaster. Their reception is an absolute embarrassment - you'll be lucky to get anyone to pick up the phone within 10 minutes of calling for an appointment. The front desk staff are incredibly rude and make patients feel like unwelcome intrusions. Referral paperwork is perpetually delayed and never completed on schedule. There's zero continuity of care since you never see the same physician twice. The parking situation is a nightmare, and it seems like half the doctors have mysteriously vanished - are they even still employed here? After being a long-time patient, I've finally had enough and I'm switching practices!

Wasted £30 on Useless Medical Form Fiasco

Absolutely worthless service - I submitted a police-approved medical report form with precise instructions to only include specific details, and they completely disregarded the guidelines. I paid £30 for this non-NHS service, only to receive the form back completely empty, with an irrelevant printout attached that the police immediately rejected. As a result, I'm out £30 with no medical report to show for it. The medical practice clearly knew from the start they wouldn't complete the required form, yet still happily took my money. They've essentially calculated that the effort of recovering the fee would cost more than the amount itself - a deliberate scam, in my view. Their administrative incompetence is staggering. They've left me in a situation where I cannot submit the medical report as requested, effectively stealing my money through sheer bureaucratic negligence. Utterly unprofessional and frustrating.

Confusing Doctor Visit at Dudley Group Practice

I could barely comprehend the physician's communication due to language barriers, and she seemed uncertain about whether her clinic even conducted blood tests! I required a blood test, and I'm baffled by the nurses' apparent inaction at this medical facility. Clearly, they weren't handling blood tests effectively. I returned home and had to personally contact all Dudley group hospitals to schedule my blood test, only to find the earliest available slot was a full month away! Additionally, I needed to collect two sample types, but they lacked the necessary blue-top bottles for specific specimens. I'm utterly dismayed and feel the quality of this practice has dramatically deteriorated. It pains me to have to share such a negative experience.

Terrible service at Moss Grove Surgery

These doctors are absolutely incompetent. They've failed to obtain my complete medical history from my previous general practitioner and have significantly delayed my annual health examination for my ongoing medical issues. It's impossible to secure an in-person consultation because they arrogantly believe they can diagnose and resolve everything through a telephone conversation. I would never suggest Moss Grove surgery to anyone, and therefore, they deserve nothing more than a single star rating.
