Dangerous medical negligence that could cost lives

The telephone support team lacks professionalism, and the medical professionals display minimal compassion or understanding. Patients are frequently dismissed with a casual "just take paracetamol" recommendation, even when it's evident the condition is far more critical. My mother struggles with multiple complex health challenges, and repeatedly she received identical, inadequate guidance. Securing an appointment takes approximately three weeks, even for urgent medical situations. During her tuberculosis episode, they consistently downplayed her symptoms as "just a cough." Ultimately, we were compelled to transport her to A&E independently. At the hospital, she was transferred to Pinderfields Hospital and subsequently hospitalized for several weeks because her medical condition had dramatically deteriorated due to the earlier misdiagnosis and apparent negligence. The absence of appropriate care and fundamental empathy from the medical staff is utterly unacceptable and profoundly troubling. If you suspect a serious medical condition, do not depend on this practice—proceed directly to A&E. Waiting for their intervention could potentially exacerbate your health situation dramatically.

I've been a loyal patient at this clinic for a long time. They consistently provide swift and efficient care for all of my mother's medical needs. The staff is incredibly compassionate and professional. The doctors have been exceptional in their treatment of both my mother and myself. Fatima, the nurse, is particularly courteous, and Susan has been wonderful. The administrative team, especially Maryam, who has been with the clinic for many years, is outstanding at her job. Incompetent receptionist put my health at risk

The front desk staff displays a shocking lack of competence. She redirected me to a pharmacy rather than allowing me to consult with medical professionals. Despite my detailed explanation that only physicians can prescribe the precise allergy medication I previously received last summer, she remained obstinate. My allergic reaction is visibly apparent with severely swollen eyes! She flatly refused to schedule an appointment, forcing me to seek emergency care at a hospital. Receptionists have no business attempting to diagnose patients. Her approach is dangerously negligent, and such unprofessional conduct should not be tolerated. I will definitely be transferring my medical care this week and absolutely cannot recommend Mount Pleasant surgery to anyone.

My inhaler procurement issues have been resolved, seemingly isolated to a single physician. I've finally received a diagnosis for my back pain, which required extended testing periods - not attributable to the surgery's shortcomings. The practice demonstrates responsible care by conducting prescription check-ups, ensuring medications are used correctly and without complications. This approach prevents indiscriminate medication dispensing. Overall, the internal changes suggest a marked improvement in service quality. Old Review: Completely ineffective. Repeatedly endured prolonged phone queues, previously waiting 30+ minutes in a three-person line. Recently, while queue times have shortened, responses typically redirect patients to walk-in centers. I've suffered months of unaddressed back pain, and when I attempted to discuss potentially serious symptoms, receptionists dismissively provided physiotherapy contact information. After consulting 111, I was referred back and eventually offered a next-day appointment. Upon arrival, I observed numerous patients with minor ailments easily securing consultations. The physician disregarded my concerns, focusing solely on painkiller prescription and arbitrarily refusing my standard inhaler, claiming overuse despite 15+ years of consistent use. The consultation demonstrated a complete lack of holistic care - no inquiry into my mental health or the debilitating impact of my condition on a 26-year-old barely capable of walking 50 yards. Instead, they cavalierly prescribed substantial opioid medication, seemingly indifferent to potential mental health risks. I was compelled to advocate for blood tests, requiring an additional two-week appointment - leaving potential serious conditions unexamined. Attempting to contact the practice manager proved futile - initially told they were unavailable, then supposedly present but too busy, with promised callback never materializing. I'm astounded by the selective triage process: my significant symptoms are consistently deemed insufficient for medical attention, while patients with minor, pharmacy-treatable conditions receive immediate care. The discriminatory screening is inexcusable. I intend to file a formal complaint with NHS England regarding this surgery's apparent negligence.
