The personnel treated me with complete disrespect, yet they were notably courteous to other patients of Pakistani origin. I feel compelled to emphasize that as a Polish national, it appears this clinic caters exclusively to individuals from Pakistan. There seems to be a clear discriminatory pattern in their service approach.

This medical practice urgently requires a comprehensive makeover. Nurse Liz Parker was exceptionally warm and demonstrates genuine compassion towards my son, as does Dr. Dalal. However, the facility desperately needs a complete renovation. The practice, particularly the waiting area, requires fresh paint and new floor coverings. Entering this location when already feeling unwell will likely worsen your condition due to its dreary atmosphere. They made modifications to the reception area years ago to improve wheelchair accessibility, but then neglected to properly floor the space, leaving exposed concrete visible. The existing carpets are clearly more than a decade old. I implore them to enhance the practice's environment so that patients feel uplifted upon leaving, rather than more dispirited.

Mount Pleasant Medical Centre has been my family's GP surgery for numerous years. While we've encountered challenges in the past, I must acknowledge significant improvements since Katie White became Practice Manager. Katie has been particularly supportive, consistently demonstrating a willingness to listen and comprehend our needs. Our family is profoundly appreciative of the assistance she has provided, which stands out distinctly from previous experiences. Recognizing that Katie joined during the unprecedented challenges of lockdown, I understand the complexity of integrating into a close-knit community with diverse linguistic backgrounds. She has visibly made a sincere effort to understand the community the centre serves. The centre's environment is undoubtedly demanding, yet staff members like Mariyam, Aasiya, Raabiah, Hava, and Monira consistently maintain a calm, respectful, and helpful demeanor. Fatima, the Phlebotomist, also deserves recognition for her compassionate approach and ability to alleviate patient concerns. While improvements are still needed, I strongly encourage Katie and her team to continue their current approach of engaging with patients and families to better understand community requirements. This strategy will not only enhance the centre's reputation and understanding but also provide substantial value to those they serve. After years of utilizing Mount Pleasant Medical Centre's services, this feels like the first time a truly proactive leader like Katie, supported by her dedicated team, is genuinely committed to continuous improvement and patient care. The representative I spoke with on 30.9.20 was exceptionally warm, considerate, respectful, and competent during our phone conversation. She articulated her capabilities and reasoning with remarkable clarity, and I was pleased to receive a follow-up call from the GP within just 60 minutes. In contrast to this positive experience, I've personally encountered and heard accounts from other patients about staff members who can come across as detached, indifferent, and brusque during phone interactions. I sincerely hope this level of compassionate patient service continues and that other staff members at the practice will adopt a similar approach.

Utterly appalling service when I called due to sudden swelling in my neck and armpit. The receptionist dismissively said a doctor would contact me back, abruptly ending the call without providing any specific timeframe or even a date. Now I'm left anxiously waiting for a potential phone call that might come tomorrow. I had to contact my workplace and describe my medical situation. This isn't the first time I've experienced issues with this practice - I've had recurring lymph node problems in my neck, and consistently, the receptionists seem to take it upon themselves to diagnose patients and advise waiting, rather than offering a proper appointment.

Every time I contact this surgery, the receptionists become increasingly discourteous. I'm certainly not alone in this observation, and I doubt I'll be the final person to complain. They are consistently obstructive and completely unhelpful. The staff member who answered my call was brusque and cold, displaying zero empathy and seemingly focused solely on quickly dismissing my concerns. I was bluntly informed that my children were not their responsibility, despite being initially referred by the 111 service and then subjected to an interrogation by the receptionist. It's curious how these receptionists appear to believe they possess medical expertise, acting like unauthorized general practitioners eager to diagnose patients. Overall, I am thoroughly disappointed with this unprofessional and dismissive approach to patient communication. Frustrating.
