I've attended the practice on several occasions, and on each visit I've been seen by someone who demonstrated considerable expertise and professionalism. During my most recent appointment, the clinician conducting my consultation was particularly thorough with my blood test results, identifying an incidental finding that warranted further investigation, and promptly arranging additional specialist testing. The blood tests themselves were performed shortly after by a phlebotomist who was absolutely excellent. As I tend to feel lightheaded during blood draws, the phlebotomist was remarkably considerate and understanding. They relocated me to a room where I could recline comfortably, and their technique was so skillful that I barely experienced any discomfort. I would readily recommend this practice to others and feel confident in their care. I'm grateful to have them as my local surgery and would like to extend my appreciation to the entire team.

There appears to be difficulty in identifying symptoms, and patients report feeling dismissed rather than heard. Cases have been noted where initial assessments seemed to underestimate the severity of presentations. One instance involved a young child presenting with persistent coughing including a characteristic sound, breathing difficulties, and associated vomiting occurring multiple times daily over an extended period. The initial assessment did not align with what the symptoms suggested, and the family felt their concerns were not adequately addressed. If you have the option, exploring other healthcare providers may be worth considering, as the diagnostic approach here may not fully match the seriousness of what patients are experiencing.

The quality of care from the doctors at this practice varies considerably. One particular clinician provides excellent support and care. The nursing team and administrative staff consistently demonstrate professionalism, courtesy and attentiveness. However, I have found it necessary to question and push back against the approach taken by certain clinicians at the practice, as I feel my concerns have not been adequately heard despite presenting with ongoing pain and discomfort. There is one clinician I have chosen not to see again following a previous appointment where I felt dismissed and embarrassed, despite experiencing significant physical distress. I regularly report symptoms including fatigue, exhaustion and muscle-related discomfort. A specialist previously raised a potential diagnosis, though my regular clinician did not pursue this further. I approach future appointments with apprehension and uncertainty about whether my concerns will be properly addressed and taken seriously.
