Frustrating GP Consultation System Delays Care

I recognize that the National Health Service is experiencing staffing challenges, but at a general practice, I anticipate a more efficient method of communicating with your doctor. The e-consultation platform is unreliable, frequently malfunctioning precisely when you need it most, and often redirects you to submit your request the following day. This leads to completing an extensive questionnaire, after which you're scheduled for a GP callback, involving another protracted waiting period. Furthermore, consultant letters are not being properly integrated into the medical system, leaving your GP uninformed about recommended conditions and treatments. This approach seems to be unnecessarily complicating the process of securing a medical consultation. The GPs themselves claim they aren't overwhelmed, so the prolonged waiting times are difficult to justify.

You need to register at the primary reception area located on the ground level prior to proceeding to your doctor's office; this occasionally results in a slight wait. The personnel are consistently courteous, pleasant, accommodating, and adhere to social distancing protocols. In line with official health recommendations, facial coverings are mandatory indoors, and numerous hand sanitization stations are conveniently distributed throughout the facility.

Impossible to Get an Appointment Here

This medical practice is utterly unacceptable. Living with complex neurological and cardiovascular conditions, I require consistent weekly medical monitoring. However, my last appointment was in July 2019, and now scheduling any doctor's visit seems impossible. Their lack of patient care is appalling. I would genuinely prefer managing my own treatment over relying on these incompetent practitioners. The front desk personnel are dismissive and unprofessional, displaying complete ignorance about patient needs. The physicians are equally terrible - strutting around with an unearned sense of importance while failing to provide basic medical support. Despite desperately needing proper medical attention, this practice leaves me completely abandoned and without viable healthcare options.

Frustrating Wait at Surgery with Call-Back System

I genuinely appreciate this medical practice, but today when I urgently required medical attention, their system completely failed me. This callback arrangement is completely impractical for someone like me - a grandmother caring for children. They rang back while I was actually inside the surgery providing a urine sample, leaving a message about calling me again. Feeling incredibly unwell, I've been sitting in the car park for four hours, fully aware they know I need to collect children and a disabled daughter. I'm certain they'll call at the most inconvenient moment, causing me to miss their contact again. And even if I do catch their call, I'll have zero personal privacy - I'll be examined with dependents present in the room. Just once, I wish I could receive medical attention completely by myself.

Swabs Lost and No One Called Back

I've never encountered such a frustrating experience with any organization before. My swabs went missing, and despite numerous follow-up calls, they consistently failed to return my messages. The reception staff, while generally friendly, seemed poorly trained and overwhelmed, often staring blankly at my documents and expressing confusion. Getting through to someone typically requires waiting around 30 minutes, and even then, the interaction rarely leads to meaningful resolution. Every single appointment runs incredibly late - consistently 50 minutes to an hour behind schedule. While I typically understand delays with healthcare services, combined with these other issues, it becomes incredibly exasperating. It's particularly disappointing because this practice used to be excellent, and a few of their doctors are still top-notch. However, I cannot in good conscience recommend this practice to anyone looking for medical care right now.
