Reception staff made me feel genuinely welcome

The vast majority of the staff are genuinely wonderful, particularly the clinical team and every member of the reception staff. I would rate them five stars if it weren't for one team member whose manner I found quite abrupt and unwelcoming. I'd rather not specify who, but you'll likely recognise them if you encounter them. Overall, they are constrained by what the NHS system allows them to do, and they have consistently provided excellent service within those limitations.

Strict policy removed me from register without appointment

This practice has significant shortcomings in how it manages patient care. New patients who arrive late to their first appointment risk being marked as a non-attendance and subsequently removed from the register without being seen by a clinician or receiving any medication. This approach is particularly problematic for individuals with conditions affecting memory and cognition, as well as those new to the area who may be managing complex scheduling around urgent specialist referrals. The clinical staff appear to prioritize administrative efficiency over genuine patient welfare. There is a noticeable difference compared to earlier times when the practice seemed to operate with greater professional standards and personal investment in patient outcomes. The current organizational structure and approach feels more aligned with a corporate model than a traditional medical practice focused on individual patient care.
