Shocking Treatment

Had an appointment at this surgery today and from start to finish it was a very shocking experience. My daughter had an appointment at 13.00 hrs. however the surgery sent me a text message to change it to 13.30pm. 15 minutes before my arrival I recieved a call from the receptionist asking me where I was, I told her I recieved a message with a changed time, she basically said this couldn't be true and asked me to bring proof when I arrived which I did. Anyway it gets worse; I entered into Dr Jamils room and that's where me and my daughters nightmare began. Dr Jamil instead of welcoming us told me I was late, I showed him my text and he dismissed it and said "well your appointment was at 1pm", he then turned to my daughter and told me I do not see 11 year old, which I replied " I didn't refer her myself. He spoke down to me and my daughter didn't ask if he was hurting her when he was scraping her skin and showed no empathy or professionalism. His hierarchy top down approach was very uncomfortable to watch and I have never seen such behaviour from a professional in a very longtime. Being in healthcare myself I am appalled and wrote a long complaint letter so I hope it is taken seriously. It's a shame because the surgery is very good but Dr's like this gives them a very bad reputation.

Appointment changed without proper consideration

Poor experience with the practice. My appointment was rescheduled to an earlier time without adequate notice, which conflicted with my existing commitments that I was unable to reschedule. When I arrived later than the new appointment time, I was unable to be seen. This was frustrating given the circumstances.

Reception staff dismissive during phone booking process

I would give zero if I could!! Appalling practice! The clinician I saw is an absolute joke! They don't seem to care, they don't listen and don't do anything!! I went in with severe abdominal discomfort and some bleeding and wasn't examined without asking! Even after requesting an examination, the clinician suggested it didn't seem severe enough! After leaving the surgery I ended up going to A&E and received urgent treatment! This practice appears negligent in my view!!

Reception staff were dismissive and rude

The experience at this practice was deeply disappointing. During a recent interaction, the reception staff member displayed what felt like discourteous behaviour and appeared dismissive when my mother communicated in her preferred language. The manner of communication towards me came across as unnecessarily sharp and abrupt. I sensed an undertone that suggested possible bias or prejudicial attitudes, and overall, I have not observed any meaningful improvements in the quality of service provided by this practice.

Staff listened to parental concerns properly

A great experience with the clinical team for the support they provided for my daughter. It's important to listen to parents because we have gut instincts, and they both did just that and gave my daughter the chance to have a second opinion on her current medical condition. Online booking cuts out frustrating phone queues

Excellent practice with a well-organised team throughout, from front desk staff to clinical professionals. The digital appointment booking system is particularly helpful as it eliminates lengthy phone queues and provides an effective way to assess patient needs. Both my family and I have consistently received prompt appointments with good flexibility to select preferred time slots across different clinicians. There is a dedicated private space available for nursing mothers that is peaceful and comfortable. The clinical staff demonstrated a caring and gentle approach during my children's immunisations. Overall, a very positive experience with nothing to fault.

Phone queue turned away without checking details

I have been a patient at this practice for many years. When I telephoned early this morning, I was informed that there were no available appointments as several clinicians were absent, and I was directed to use the online booking system for any slots that might be open. The receptionist did not ask which practice I was calling from before providing this information, which seemed odd given the circumstances. The standard of care at this practice appears to have declined significantly from what it once was. It is now extremely difficult to secure an appointment, even when calling at the start of the day. The practice has suggested alternative options such as walk-in centres or NHS 111, which I found frustrating given my long history as a patient here.

I have visited the clinic on multiple occasions and have experienced difficulties when attempting to schedule necessary appointments. During these interactions, both in person and over the phone, I felt that the staff were not considerate, caring, or helpful. I raised my concerns with a manager, who suggested I submit a formal complaint via email and indicated that compensation might be offered. However, I have not received any follow-up communication or response to my complaint. I feel let down by how these matters have been handled and the lack of resolution has left me feeling unsupported.

Home visits took years to arrange

The experience has been quite disappointing overall. Being unable to leave home, I require regular blood work at set intervals, yet it took several years before home visits were arranged for these tests. Regarding my pain management, medication was discontinued without consultation with me or my healthcare specialists, which felt concerning. It appears the practice may prioritise cost-saving measures over patient care. Additionally, I was expecting a scheduled call to discuss test results, but this did not materialise.

Each person's experience with this practice varies, but for myself and my family it has been positive overall. The clinical staff have been excellent, and the practitioners I see on a regular basis have made me feel well supported medically. Long waits for calls and results

Disappointing experience with this practice. The team took considerably longer than expected to respond to phone calls, and obtaining an earlier appointment proved quite challenging. I eventually secured an appointment for routine testing, however more than two weeks have passed and I am still awaiting my results. The overall service fell well short of expectations.

Online appointment requests delay access significantly

This practice has significantly declined in quality. I would not recommend registering here. I attended this morning at their opening time, expecting to be offered an appointment to be seen the same day, as has been standard practice elsewhere. However, the appointment system now requires online requests with a waiting period of up to two working days for a response. This approach seems impractical for working individuals. When taking time off work, there is often only a specific day available for an appointment, yet the practice appears to expect patients to be flexible with their schedules and accommodate whatever time slots become available. This does not align with how most people's work and personal commitments function. I am disappointed with this experience and plan to register with another practice. I would encourage others to consider alternative options as well.

The staff were quite unwelcoming and provided inaccurate information regardless of when I contacted them. There seemed to be no availability for appointments, and I was asked personal questions by reception staff that felt inappropriate for their role. Overall, the experience felt unprofessional and fell short of what I would expect from a medical practice.
