Patient feedback reveals a practice with significant operational challenges alongside pockets of clinical excellence. Appointment access has become increasingly difficult, with patients reporting that online booking slots fill rapidly and phone booking is no longer available, creating barriers particularly for those without internet access. Reception experience emerges as a consistent concern, with multiple accounts of discourteous interactions, poor phone manner, and lack of courtesy when scheduling appointments. Communication failures are evident across several areas: delayed notification of test results, absence of prior notice for scheduled appointments, and insufficient follow-up after initial consultations. Some patients describe long waits for test result communication and difficulty reaching the practice by phone.
Conversely, when patients successfully connect with clinical staff, experiences are notably positive. Virtual consultations have been praised for efficiency and prompt availability, and several patients commend doctors and nurses for attentive listening, compassionate care, and thorough investigation of health concerns. The practice environment is described as welcoming by some, with staff demonstrating genuine concern for patient wellbeing. This contrast suggests that clinical care quality is undermined by systemic issues in appointment access, reception courtesy, and administrative communication processes.

Declining service quality at local doctor's office
In the past, securing a doctor's appointment was a breeze. Lately, though, it's become a nightmare. By 9 AM, all slots are gone, and now they've stopped taking bookings over the phone altogether. It's outrageous! How are elderly folks without internet supposed to manage? I can't even access their website to book online. Where does that leave us? The reception staff's attitude is appalling, both on calls and in person. I witnessed one receptionist slamming the phone down after a conversation. It's unprofessional and disrespectful. To add insult to injury, they scheduled me for a second blood test without even bothering to inform me. For those of us with full-time jobs, we can't just drop everything at their convenience. A simple courtesy call to check my availability would have been appreciated. The sole redeeming factor was the nurse who took my blood. When I felt unwell, she showed genuine concern, fetched me a drink, and completed the procedure swiftly and compassionately. She's the only reason this place gets any stars at all.

Frustrating patient experience with unhelpful staff
I encountered significant difficulties when attempting to access medical assistance through their web portal. Upon calling for support, I was met with discourteous staff who subjected me to an unnecessary interrogation about technical issues beyond my expertise. As a patient seeking urgent care, I found it frustrating to be questioned about IT intricacies rather than receiving the help I needed. To my dismay, merely six minutes after their phone lines opened, I was informed that they had reached full capacity. They dismissively suggested I contact 111 or visit A&E instead, leaving me feeling abandoned and without proper guidance for my medical concerns. This experience has left me questioning the efficiency and compassion of their patient care system.

Friendly service with efficient care at surgery
The medical practice boasts an exceptional team and provides a warm, welcoming atmosphere. While the current healthcare landscape often limits in-person consultations, the staff goes above and beyond to ensure patients receive appropriate care promptly. Their commitment to patient well-being is evident in their tireless efforts to accommodate and address health concerns efficiently, despite the challenges of modern healthcare scheduling.

Friendly sister doctor's clinic: Staff aplenty
I appreciate my spouse's choice to visit this medical facility as a fellow physician, complementing her regular healthcare providers. The staff's abundance and the presence of numerous doctors contribute to a positive experience. The atmosphere seems conducive to fostering a spirit of collaboration and assistance among medical professionals.

A disappointing experience
This establishment is an absolute disaster. The experience was nothing short of atrocious, leaving me utterly disappointed and frustrated. I cannot fathom how anyone could find a single redeeming quality in this abysmal excuse for a service. It's a complete waste of time and resources, and I wholeheartedly advise everyone to steer clear of this catastrophic failure.

Drastic decline in GP service quality
I previously held this practice in high regard, awarding it four stars, but my opinion has shifted dramatically. It's been an astonishingly long time - since 2019 - since I've had an in-person consultation with a GP here. Recently, when I sought an appointment due to severe discomfort, strongly suspecting I required antibiotics, they merely redirected me to the pharmacy. This level of care is utterly preposterous and falls far short of acceptable standards.

Pregnant patient's frustrating hospital experience
I received shockingly poor service today. Being pregnant, I was shuffled between hospital departments, only to be told to wait in urgent care - not feasible with my work commitments. Then, I got this text: "Hi Sophia, I've spoken with the practice manager who's cancelled another patient's appointment for yours. They've sent you the details." From Nene Valley Hodgson Medical Practice. How utterly unprofessional! I never asked for someone else's slot to be taken. It's distressing to think they'd so casually cancel appointments. Makes you wonder if your own could be axed at any moment for someone else. The whole experience was absolutely disgraceful.

Efficient e-consultation solves health issue
I recently had an e-consultation with Dr. Mavani, and I must say it was a refreshingly straightforward and effective approach to addressing my concerns. This innovative service offers a swift solution to medical issues, revolutionizing the way we seek healthcare advice. The entire process left me thoroughly satisfied with the results, and I'm impressed by how seamlessly technology can facilitate patient care. Dr. Mavani's expertise, combined with the convenience of this platform, made for an exceptional experience that I'd highly recommend to others seeking prompt medical attention.

Positive experience with Dr Mavani and staff
I recently had a consultation with Dr. Mavani regarding a persistent concern. His attentive listening and assistance left me feeling considerably relieved afterward. I'm truly grateful for his support. While securing an appointment with a physician can occasionally be challenging, I've consistently found that when I do manage to connect with either a doctor or nurse at this practice, they invariably demonstrate exceptional helpfulness and compassion.

Negligent care: A patient's frustrating journey
I've encountered the most incompetent medical professionals at this establishment. Upon seeking treatment for a migraine with aura, I was shocked to discover I had an underactive thyroid, iron deficiency, and potential Hashimoto's disease - conditions that had apparently been present since 2018 according to a previous blood test at their clinic. Astonishingly, I was never informed of these critical results and have endured years of unnecessary suffering. Now, despite recent blood work revealing persistent abnormalities, I'm expected to endure a two-week wait for a mere phone call, despite repeatedly emphasizing my inability to handle phone conversations due to mental health issues. My health continues to deteriorate due to ongoing symptoms, and my attempts to secure an urgent in-person appointment online have been consistently rebuffed, leaving me with no choice but to await a call I'm mentally unprepared to receive. This blatant negligence will undoubtedly be reported to the appropriate authorities.

Frustrating online booking and delayed results
Scheduling has become a nightmare since they implemented the online booking system. It's nearly impossible to secure an appointment these days. To add insult to injury, I had to wait a grueling three weeks just to receive a text about my abnormal blood test results. It's a miracle I'm still standing, given their snail-paced approach to patient care. If this is their idea of efficiency, I'd hate to see what they consider slow.

Prescription errors: Medical negligence exposed
The incompetence displayed by these so-called medical professionals is truly astounding. They're incapable of handling even the most basic prescriptions correctly. One has to question the qualifications of physicians who carelessly administer incorrect medications to their patients. Such negligence is not only alarming but also potentially life-threatening. It's a disgrace to the medical profession and raises serious concerns about the standard of healthcare being provided.

Frustrated patient's rant on NHS practice failures
The management of this healthcare facility leaves much to be desired. They fail to maintain proper communication with patients, which, if more people shared their experiences, would reveal the true extent of their inefficiency. While the government bears some responsibility for the NHS's shortcomings, individual practices contribute to the problem by employing clinicians instead of doctors, possibly due to financial considerations. It's understandable that patients, unable to see a doctor when concerned about their health, would express their frustration through negative feedback. Errors are likely occurring, and past interactions with some receptionists have been tense, though not all. This suggests an "us versus them" dynamic, fueled by patient grievances and reciprocal hostility. It appears that higher authorities may have ulterior motives aimed at dismantling the NHS, resulting in a system that's utterly dysfunctional – or as Americans might say, a complete "FUBAR" situation. Ultimately, writing this critique feels akin to a private act of relief – momentarily satisfying, yet largely unnoticed by others.

Rude staff and inaccessible booking system
As a long-time patient with dyslexia, I've been under the care of this practice for over three decades, since my childhood. Recently, I encountered significant difficulties navigating the online appointment system due to my condition. Hoping for assistance, I decided to call the office directly. To my dismay, the phone interaction was shockingly poor. The staff member's conduct was utterly unprofessional, treating me with blatant disrespect and engaging in inappropriate discussion. Their behavior was so egregious that I'm certain Dr. Iyra would be mortified if aware of how patients are being addressed. This experience left me feeling frustrated and disappointed with a practice I've trusted for years.

Rude reception and delayed referral handling
I experienced significant disappointment with the reception team's demeanor and service quality. Upon receiving a text message indicating a doctor had finalized a review, I was instructed to await further booking details. Frustratingly, three days passed without any communication, compelling me to initiate contact myself. When I finally reached out, I was met with a lack of viable solutions. This incident reminded me of a previous referral from an alternative service, where the administrative staff seemingly neglected the matter for a fortnight, taking no action until I followed up once more. I can't help but ponder how protracted the wait might have been had I not taken the initiative to inquire again. The overall handling of these situations was utterly subpar and left much to be desired.
