Feedback reveals a stark divide in patient experience, with clinical care consistently praised but appointment access presenting severe challenges. Patients report exceptional surgical procedures, compassionate medical professionals, and supportive healthcare teams. However, booking systems create substantial barriers, with patients describing impossible phone access, extended waiting periods, and limited appointment availability. The phone system generates particular frustration, with callers unable to connect during designated booking times, forcing repeated attempts across multiple days. Reception staff interactions are mixed, with some patients noting courteous and helpful service whilst others report dismissive and unprofessional conduct.
Appointment availability emerges as the dominant concern, with patients unable to secure consultations beyond same-day slots and facing weeks-long delays for non-urgent care. Communication gaps compound these issues, including cancelled appointments with minimal notice and unclear information about availability. Patients express particular frustration with the contrast between the quality of clinical care once accessed and the difficulty in obtaining that care, describing the booking experience as chaotic and inequitable.
Whilst some patients report smooth recent experiences and appreciation for staff efforts within constraints, the overall pattern indicates systemic access problems that undermine confidence in the service despite recognition of clinical competence and professional dedication.

Bad!
Negligent doctor nearly cost me my life
After desperately pleading for medical attention, a physician dismissed my infected wound, and just two days later, I was urgently admitted to the hospital with necrotising fasciitis - a horrific flesh-destroying infection! I endured eight weeks of hospitalization across two different medical facilities, underwent six surgical procedures, all of which could have been completely prevented! I remain absolutely furious, seething with anger, and I feel profoundly betrayed by a professional group I typically hold in the highest regard and for whom I've always felt immense appreciation and respect!

Compassionate care from incredible medical professionals
Nurse Gemma and Dr. Rachel Missen have provided incredible support to my partner Jan following her home incident. They consistently maintain a positive attitude, and no task seems to inconvenience them. We are deeply grateful for their exceptional care!! :)

Terrible customer service from this frustrating company
Absolutely terrible customer service! Getting through on the phone is nearly impossible - I've spent countless hours attempting to make a single connection without success.

Frustrating healthcare with hit-or-miss appointment scheduling
The medical staff are competent, but scheduling an appointment is incredibly frustrating. After struggling to reach someone on the phone, you're typically met with the disappointing news that no slots are available and you're instructed to try calling back the next day.

Frustrating clinic with poor booking accessibility
The medical staff are competent, but scheduling is a significant challenge. Their appointment reservation process is deeply problematic. Unlike other practices, there's no structured waiting mechanism, so securing a slot becomes purely a matter of chance. This morning, I repeatedly dialed multiple times per minute starting precisely at 8am when the lines activate, and after persistent attempts, I finally connected around 9:30am, only to be informed that all slots were already filled, with instructions to attempt booking again the following day. Additionally, they offer no digital booking alternative.

Frustrating scheduling with limited availability for parents
Feeling let down by the scheduling system, I attempted to book a slot for my infant but found all available times were already taken. This was particularly frustrating given my constrained schedule and the challenges of traveling to the Swindon medical facility.

Worst healthcare experience ever terrible customer service
The service is absolutely abysmal. I was instructed to call Monday morning to schedule a doctor's appointment, but when I tried, all slots were already taken. Now they're suggesting I purchase medication directly from a pharmacy, despite the hospital directing me to seek a prescription from my GP. After contributing to National Insurance for over four decades and recently retiring, I'm being told to buy my own medicine. Previously, when I experienced a severe eye reaction, I was sent to the hospital, where staff were astonished that my GP hadn't seen me. They prescribed oral and eye antibiotics along with allergy drops. It's no wonder the hospital is overwhelmed with patients. I am completely appalled by the reception and administrative staff's attitude. In my previous role registering births and deaths, my team would never communicate with people in such a disrespectful manner. Professionalism and courtesy seem to be entirely absent. I am profoundly disappointed and frustrated with the entire experience.

Friendly doctors overshadowed by terrible receptionist
The medical staff are excellent, but the front desk personnel are a significant letdown. They desperately require instruction in professional customer service. Their attitude is discourteous and dismissive. I was abruptly instructed to visit urgent care and then summarily disconnected. These employees substantially undermine the practice's reputation. The service they provide is substandard. Being evaluated by an untrained administrative worker who lacks any medical credentials, determining whether you merit a callback from an actual healthcare professional, is truly frustrating and unacceptable.

Useless service sends everyone to urgent care
Utterly pointless service - they invariably redirect patients to urgent care in Swindon, completely disregarding individual symptoms or actual medical requirements.

Frustrating healthcare system fails patients completely
Complete nonsense. I'm forced to line up for a medical consultation lottery on a Monday because they couldn't schedule me an appointment! Their "first come first served" policy is ridiculous. Their website claims around 2500 patient visits last month. Calculating this across a standard five-day work week, that supposedly translates to just 3 hours of daily appointments per doctor!

Terrible healthcare lottery leaves patients in despair
Total farce. The medical staff informed me about a grave health issue and instructed me to enter a lottery-style queue on Monday just to secure a doctor's consultation, as they were unable to schedule me directly! I spent a quarter-hour attempting to connect from 7:58am, but failed to get through, only to learn from my partner who managed to reach them that all available slots were gone by 8:10am, forcing me to retry next Monday. Healthcare should not be a game of chance. Appointments must be prioritized based on medical need. This is hands-down the most incompetent medical practice I've ever encountered.

Caring staff make new court medical centre shine
I consistently find the telephone staff courteous and accommodating, working within their constraints. While getting through can be challenging, this seems typical of current healthcare practices and likely reflects most medical practices. New Court has consistently succeeded in scheduling appointments that align with my specific requirements. My interactions with my general practitioner have been outstanding, and I have absolute confidence in their care, with no desire to seek medical attention from any other provider.

Overwhelmed surgery fails patients with poor access
It's disheartening that increased patient numbers and demand have transformed medical care into a frustrating experience. The surgery's booking system is incredibly challenging, with phone wait times potentially stretching to an hour. Receptionists interrogate you before invariably directing you to call 111 or 999, as appointments are non-existent for weeks. My elderly parents require substantial medical support, and while the surgery does dispatch paramedics and nurses (who are always courteous), their interventions feel like temporary fixes for recurring issues. Today exemplifies the typical scenario: a non-life-threatening but serious condition (like an older gentleman's vision problem) leaves you in a helpless limbo, forcing reliance on emergency services. Regrettably, the NHS has rendered this surgery - and many others - an obstacle to accessing healthcare. I'm genuinely saddened writing this, as the healthcare professionals themselves are exceptional. The systemic failures are letting everyone down. I hope decision-makers will recognize the critical need for improved medical infrastructure in Wiltshire, particularly noting that Great Western Hospital's approximately 700 beds must serve an extensive region. What's needed is a completely new hospital, not merely renovating existing facilities. We've now resorted to calling 111 or 999 because the local surgery is overwhelmed and understaffed for its catchment area.

Worst medical service ever terrible experience
It's an absolute disaster from start to finish. I was initially seen by a nurse who advised me to schedule a crucial doctor's appointment, but when I approached reception to book, they claimed no future appointments were available and instructed me to call at 8am daily. However, every morning when I try calling at 8am, the line is perpetually busy, and I can only get through after 9am, by which time all new appointments have been snatched up, forcing me to repeat the frustrating process the next day. The system appears deliberately designed to favor individuals with unlimited free time who can constantly call or visit the surgery, while completely abandoning those with work or childcare responsibilities. In another infuriating incident, I took a day off work specifically to receive a morning doctor's callback, only to have them ring in the afternoon during my school run, causing me to miss the call entirely. As a result, I lost both a workday and the medical consultation, and was forced to restart the entire exhausting process from the beginning.

Frustrating appointments and poor communication nightmare
Scheduling an appointment here is a nightmare. Despite instructions to call at 8am, their phone system is completely non-functional. On the rare occasion you manage to connect, they simply advise you to try calling again on Monday and hope for the best. While I understand surgical practices can be busy, compared to other medical offices I've interacted with while booking appointments for my family and hearing about others' experiences, New Court's scheduling process is exceptionally poor.

Terrible service with constant frustrating appointment cancellations
Utterly disappointing experience. I scheduled an appointment three weeks in advance, only to receive a last-minute cancellation text just an hour before the set time. When I attempted to reschedule as suggested, I was informed that the earliest available slot is more than two weeks away - and this wasn't even the first time this has happened. The receptionist displayed a completely indifferent attitude, essentially telling me to take it or leave it. I've already sacrificed two workdays for these repeatedly cancelled appointments, with zero guarantee that future bookings will actually proceed. To make matters worse, booking anything with them has become nearly impossible - even calling at 8am yields no response. Absolutely useless.

Compassionate care at its absolute finest
Borrowing my spouse's profile to express my gratitude! The medical professionals here consistently demonstrate exceptional compassion and attentiveness. This practice boasts a truly remarkable team, and I'm genuinely fortunate to have such an outstanding neighborhood healthcare facility.
