Patient Experience Summary

Patient feedback reveals a mixed experience with significant challenges in appointment access and phone communication alongside positive feedback about clinical care and reception courtesy. Many patients report substantial difficulties reaching the practice by telephone, with extended waiting times, frequent disconnections, and limited availability of advance booking slots. Appointment scheduling is frequently described as problematic, with patients experiencing long delays between requesting and receiving consultations, and a reliance on same-day or emergency-only booking windows that create barriers for working patients.

In contrast, clinical staff and several reception team members receive consistent praise for professionalism, compassion, and attentiveness. Patients value the quality of care provided during consultations and appreciate welcoming, supportive interactions with certain team members. The practice environment is generally described as clean and well-maintained. However, reception experience is inconsistent, with some patients reporting discourteous or unhelpful interactions, whilst others highlight exceptional courtesy and helpfulness from specific staff members.

The most significant service gap appears to be the appointment booking system and phone accessibility, which patients describe as frustrating and inefficient. This contrasts sharply with positive feedback about the clinical experience itself, suggesting the practice delivers good care once patients successfully access appointments, but the pathway to obtaining those appointments presents a substantial barrier to service delivery.

Rude doctor ignored my elderly mom's needs

Dr. Harris displays an incredibly patronizing demeanor. My elderly mother, who is 102 years old, is both hearing-impaired and unable to leave her home. Despite these circumstances, the doctor recommended she visit Specsavers for a hearing assessment, completely disregarding her mobility limitations. Adding to the absurdity, the physician listed her home phone number as a contact method, seemingly oblivious to the fact that my mother cannot hear telephone conversations.

Calling 103 times for a single appointment

After repeatedly attempting to schedule an appointment via telephone, it's clear that their booking system is fundamentally broken, and I can only confirm what other patients have previously described. This morning at exactly 8 am, I made 103 futile attempts to connect by phone, and I had similarly failed 55 times the day before. When you finally do manage to reach a staff member, they invariably claim no appointments are open and instruct you to call back at 8 am on the same day... it's completely unacceptable!

Phone troubles at this awful clinic

Extremely frustrating experience with this medical practice. Their phone communication is abysmal, and they even disconnected my call. I'm forced to give a one-star rating just to submit this review, as the rating system requires it. Their customer service has deteriorated significantly, and it's clear they have no concern for patient satisfaction.

Bad!

Impossible to book with rude reception staff

Securing a doctor's appointment at this practice is an exercise in frustration. Remote booking is virtually non-existent, and in-person scheduling is marred by the unacceptable attitude of a particular staff member. The appointment process is so challenging that patients are frequently driven to contact NHS 111 for medical advice, which proves far more accessible. For full-time workers, the prospect of spending 40 minutes on hold at 8 am or disrupting the workday at 1:30 pm to schedule a consultation is completely impractical. The current booking system represents a total misallocation of public resources. The sole bright spot in this otherwise dismal experience is Dr. Arora, who genuinely deserves high praise.

Impossible to book a doctor's slot

The appointment scheduling process is utterly absurd. It's essentially a game of chance to secure a slot during the extremely limited timeframe for booking, and even if you manage to get through, you'll likely only be offered a phone consultation. The entire setup seems deliberately engineered to prevent patients from accessing medical care. They've completely abandoned the practice of advance booking, which is unacceptable. At this point, they might as well shut down the practice and direct patients to use NHS 111 instead.

Endless redials for a pointless appointment

The telephone booking system for a 13:30 call is utterly pointless and ineffective. I've just squandered 40 minutes repeatedly dialing from 13:30, desperately attempting to secure an appointment, only to be informed that all slots are gone and I should try again tomorrow!!!! And what became of the previous queuing mechanism? At least then you had a clear sense of your position in line, unlike this current approach which just leaves you increasingly exasperated! This problematic situation has persisted for numerous months with absolutely no improvement, and it's completely ridiculous. What have I been contributing National Insurance for over the past three decades!

Booking nightmare with unhelpful phone system

Their appointment scheduling process is completely illogical. The front desk staff are delightful, but actually reaching them by telephone is incredibly challenging. I've consistently struggled to secure an appointment at a specific time or date. Each time I've called, I'm promised a callback that day, but it rarely materializes. When attempting to use their online booking system, I've never received any clear confirmation about when a doctor might contact me. I specifically raised this issue during a phone call, and the staff insisted I must have received a confirmation, which was absolutely untrue (I thoroughly checked my spam folder, and nothing was there). The entire experience is bewildering and anxiety-inducing.

Rude staff and terrible medical service

The medical practice's service is extremely subpar. There's an older female staff member who consistently displays aggressive behavior and speaks to me in a hostile manner. I believe her interactions with me are discriminatory, and she has mishandled my personal documentation. Throughout my time registered with this GP, I've encountered significant challenges in obtaining prescriptions or securing a doctor's appointment. When I finally did speak with the physician, his communication skills were remarkably inadequate, and he inappropriately inquired about intimate personal details, which is completely unacceptable!!!!
