Compassionate care restores hope for patient
Faith Restored!! Living with occipital neuralgia and receiving nerve block injections into my head, I encountered a distressing situation at the hospital where I was unexpectedly denied treatment. The hospital staff member on the phone was far from compassionate, and I was so overwhelmed with emotion that I could barely respond to her questions. Experiencing intense pain and complete frustration, I was instructed to contact my GP. When I called the GP practice and explained my situation (while clearly distressed), the receptionist who answered completely renewed my belief in human kindness. She was incredibly supportive and reassuring. She promised that a doctor would contact me the same day, urged me not to worry, and assured me we would resolve the issue. Although I don't know her name, she was working at 1pm on Thursday 15th May, and her compassion truly restored my hope. Dr Hussain was equally fantastic, calling me back immediately. He demonstrated genuine empathy, listened attentively to my concerns, and took concrete steps to help me. Today, I felt genuinely proud to be associated with this practice. Thank you, New Road!!

Helpful staff make parking challenges bearable
The employees consistently demonstrate a welcoming and supportive attitude. Parking can be challenging, but neighboring businesses are typically accommodating if you politely request to use their spaces 🤗 Wheelchair users can access the location via a ramp, provided inconsiderate individuals don't obstruct the path by parking too closely.

Terrible medical care led to years of suffering
They offer no assistance, and I was repeatedly advised that diet defines one's health. Diagnosed with IBS, I discovered I couldn't tolerate wheat, yet these physicians prescribed unnecessary medications for years. They preached "you are what you eat," but in reality, I was inadvertently harming my digestive system. My frustration with the medical professionals at this practice goes far beyond mere disappointment.

Efficient medical staff saved my driving license
As a diabetic individual, I'm required to renew my driving license every three years. Previously, my former medical practice's unresponsiveness left me dangerously close to license expiration, at a time when I desperately needed my vehicle for commuting. I was in a state of anxiety and contacted the DVLA, who informed me they were still awaiting the necessary documentation. In contrast, with New Road surgery, my renewed license arrived promptly within weeks.

Compassionate heroes saved our family during difficult time
I urgently needed to register my father, who was in hospice care and desperately wanted to return home. However, he wasn't enrolled with a local GP, and district nurse support was essential for his discharge. We first approached Cornhill surgery nearby, and their response was shockingly unhelpful. The staff were incredibly dismissive and showed zero compassion for our challenging circumstances. Fortunately, when we visited New Road surgery, the receptionists were completely different. They were incredibly supportive and efficiently resolved our issue within moments. Their professionalism and kindness were truly remarkable, and we were immensely appreciative of their help.
