Appointment availability emerges as the dominant concern across feedback, with patients consistently reporting severe difficulty securing consultations through the standard booking system. Callers attempting to reach the practice at 8 AM as instructed frequently encounter fully booked schedules within minutes, unresponsive phone lines, and dropped calls after extended waits. Reception experience represents a secondary major theme, with reports of discourteous, dismissive, and unprofessional interactions, alongside instances of calls being ignored or terminated without explanation. Communication gaps are evident, including inconsistent information provision and limited clarity about booking procedures or alternative access methods.
Positive feedback, though less frequent, highlights supportive reception staff in in-person interactions, compassionate clinical care from medical professionals, and helpful coordination of services. Some patients report satisfactory telephone consultations and appreciation for professional communication. However, these positive experiences are substantially outweighed by accounts of organisational dysfunction, with concerns about understaffing, staff absences, and systemic responsiveness failures affecting the overall service delivery.
The practice appears to face significant operational challenges in managing patient access and maintaining consistent courtesy standards, though individual staff members and clinical care receive occasional praise. Patients seeking alternative providers and those experiencing accessibility barriers, including those with disabilities, represent a notable pattern in the feedback.

Bad!
Frustrating booking process at my local clinic
Securing an appointment requires daily morning phone calls to check availability. I'm perceptive about deception, and one of the receptionists demonstrated an exceptional skill for fabricating excuses directly to my face. Walk-in bookings are prohibited, so individuals without a functioning mobile phone - perhaps due to financial constraints that month - are effectively prevented from scheduling medical consultations, which is utterly absurd. After two decades of loyalty, I'm now compelled to seek alternative healthcare providers.

Worst medical care ever experienced
This medical facility is an absolute nightmare, and it's shocking that they're still allowed to operate.

Nightmare clinic with impossible appointments
Terrible experience. Switched medical providers due to their incompetence. They're impossible to reach by phone, and when you're right in front of them, they'll interrupt the conversation to take a call. Securing an appointment requires arriving extremely early, and they limit bookings to just one week ahead with very limited availability. The receptionists are incredibly difficult to deal with, making them seem more intimidating than the guardians of the underworld. Absolutely dreadful healthcare facility.

Worst clinic with zero appointment slots
The procedure is utterly pointless. Scheduling consultations is virtually impossible. There's a sole physician who monopolizes booking slots.

Mom's pain ignored by careless doctors
The medical staff at this facility are completely incompetent. My mother, Patricia Attwood, was previously prescribed powerful pain medication, which they abruptly discontinued. As a direct result of their negligent treatment, she has now been readmitted to the hospital. Their so-called care is an absolute mockery of professional medical practice.

Frustrating wait for a simple doctor's call
absolute rubbish healthcare practice. they demand you be available at 8am sharp, and even if you're among the first callers, they claim a doctor or nurse will ring back sometime in the afternoon. essentially, they expect patients to waste an entire day waiting by the phone like we have nothing better to do. when they finally call, it's not until evening. miss their single call? tough luck - they won't even attempt to reconnect. the next morning, their response is that no appointments are available until the following month. completely unacceptable service.

Impossible to book a simple checkup
Absolutely terrible medical practice. Scheduling an appointment is a nightmare, and they operate solely on their own rigid terms. The management and staff are completely unhelpful. If you're looking to squander your precious time and potentially compromise your well-being, this is the place for you.

Humiliated and hurt by staff's unprofessional behavior
I am utterly disheartened by the treatment I received from the management and a particular young staff member, who spoke to me inappropriately in the presence of another patient. The practice manager's response only exacerbated the situation, leaving me feeling deeply embarrassed and reduced to tears during my entire journey home. As a patient who heavily relies on medical care, I now feel anxious about scheduling future appointments, fearing a repeat of this traumatic experience. It's worth noting that the other receptionists are truly exceptional.

Doctor Akram and the caring team
Truly, there's nothing negative I can say about the medical staff or facility. They consistently strive to provide patients with timely appointments and necessary medical care. Throughout the pandemic, while consultations shifted predominantly to telephone interactions, they've remained dedicated and still offer in-person appointments after initial GP screening. The doctors are exceptional and compassionate, and the nurses are equally wonderful. The receptionists are incredibly supportive and helpful. Although the surgery has undergone changes over time, they've always prioritized patient needs. I'm genuinely satisfied being a patient here. Doctor Akram, in particular, is outstanding, demonstrating remarkable empathy and care. Overall, it's an excellent team that deserves top marks.

Frustrating wait and no doctor visit
Completely unsatisfactory experience... scheduling an appointment is nearly impossible, and when I actually managed to connect with someone, the receptionist was noncommittal, suggesting they might or might not decide to book us in to see the doctor.

Friendly team but constant locum doctors
Welcoming personnel at this clinic, but there's a constant rotation of temporary physicians rather than a consistent, permanent medical professional on staff.

Long wait times and grumpy staff
The facility appears antiquated, with personnel who are brusque and lack warmth. The most frustrating aspect is the near-impossible task of securing an appointment, and even when you manage to get one, you're restricted to addressing only a single concern. If you have multiple issues, you're forced to schedule additional consultations. It's utterly unacceptable, to the point where my partner is actively seeking to transfer to a different medical center in the area.

Nightmare gp practice with zero help
Steer clear of this place - scheduling an appointment is impossible, and the personnel are incredibly discourteous. I've since transferred my medical care to a different practice.

Appointments gone within minutes every time
Frustratingly, securing a medical consultation here is incredibly challenging. The clinic's appointment system is a nightmare - you're expected to call precisely at 8 AM, and by 8:10, all slots are inexplicably gone. It involves endless redialing just to reach a receptionist. While they have plenty of nursing staff, actually getting face time with a doctor feels impossible. It seems the receptionists wield more power than medical professionals, effectively gatekeeping patient access. In my last interaction, the doctor expressed surprise at my absence, to which I bluntly explained the appointment booking difficulties. Suffice to say, their scheduling process is far from ideal.

Poor!
Frustrating wait for a simple doctor's slot
Attempted to schedule an appointment this morning, but was informed no slots were available until next Wednesday, despite calling at 8am as recommended yesterday. By the time they picked up at 08:12, all appointments had vanished. They offered me two barely different time slots at 15:00 or 15:10 next Wednesday, with no later options. When I requested a next-day appointment, I was curtly told they can't book beyond a week ahead. I used to sing praises about this practice and its supposed accommodation for working individuals. I've been absent from work since Monday, receiving only statutory sick pay, and must be off four days to qualify. Securing an appointment here has become an incredibly frustrating and nearly impossible task!!!!!
