Rude receptionist crushed my anxiety hopes

I'm simply going to outline my deeply distressing encounters and offer a stern warning to anyone struggling with anxiety - NEVER engage with this medical practice: - Disconnected twice - The same receptionist displayed extreme rudeness. Being new to independent medical visits, I asked multiple questions, and she responded with a hostile tone before abruptly ending the call. She even cruelly remarked, "Maybe you wouldn't be so anxious if you took your tablets". As someone battling significant anxiety, this receptionist's behavior was incredibly triggering, particularly her insensitive comments and apparent ignorance regarding mental health - I've essentially been forced to fight for my medication. Despite being diagnosed with anxiety in November 2021, this practice seemingly doubted my condition. Considering my anxiety, one would expect a more compassionate approach, but instead, I repeatedly had to plead to receive my medication. - Securing an appointment is impossible unless a receptionist arbitrarily deems you worthy. Some staff genuinely help, while others are dismissive, instructing you to call back later with promises of available slots (which never materialize) - My most appalling experience involved a doctor promising a face-to-face appointment that week and assuring me a nurse would contact me the next day (which never happened) When I called the following day at 12:30, I was told an appointment was available at 12:45 - how is that remotely practical? I was told alternative slots might not exist, yet a brief hold magically produced an appointment? This practice demands patients grovel for medical attention - it's absolutely unacceptable, and I implore anyone reading to avoid them at all costs. The consistency of similar experiences in other reviews further validates my account.

Awful reception staff ruined my healthcare

The reception personnel consistently demonstrate a discourteous, antagonistic, and uncooperative demeanor, with this negative attitude seemingly originating from the Practice/Admin Manager. I am preparing to file an official complaint with the CQC and NHS regarding my interactions. While the Nurses and Dr Makepeace have been the sole exemplars of helpfulness and professionalism, the remaining staff, including management, display a complete absence of empathy, competence, and workplace conduct. Securing an appointment is perpetually impossible, and they have repeatedly failed to address this fundamental issue. The practice's operations are so inadequate that it arguably warrants complete closure.
