Abysmal practice

This is the worst GP service I’ve ever experienced ever appointments are a nightmare to get they never stay on time when it comes to appointments. The repeat prescription doesn’t save on the app so you cannot order repeat prescription. I have had an issue with my side for a few years now and I’m getting no help with it whatsoever. I’m going try and change my GP to a better one.

Terrible phone service ruins patient experience

I've been with this medical practice for some time, and lately their telephone support has become completely unacceptable, with staff demonstrating extreme unprofessionalism and indifference. The waiting time is consistently around 25 minutes, and even when you're just second in line, you end up being disconnected from their system. The entire experience is incredibly exasperating when calls simply go unanswered. On August 6th, I waited from 4pm and finally reached a representative at 4:55pm, who seemed genuinely shocked that I had been holding for so long just to schedule an appointment!!!!!

Bureaucratic nightmare of medical mismanagement

A catastrophic medical administrative ordeal. My wife submitted a referral form on July 2nd, anticipating a response within five business days. By July 9th, with zero communication, she telephoned and was assured she'd be contacted on the 14th—a commitment that ultimately went unfulfilled. After persistently following up on the 14th, she discovered her referral was absent from their system, no physician was available, and previous guidance was completely inaccurate. The staff representative deflected responsibility by citing nebulous IT complications and provided no meaningful escalation path or genuine attempt to facilitate direct human interaction—merely recommending a process restart. She reached out again on July 16th. Incredibly, her referral remained unprocessed! Fortunately, that particular staff member expeditiously arranged an urgent appointment review (a capability seemingly discovered miraculously within a 48-hour period, given the prior incompetence). The front desk personnel demonstrate remarkable inconsistency, the service appears fundamentally disorganized, their technological infrastructure is clearly dysfunctional, and patients are frequently left with ambiguous guidance from junior medical staff unable to provide definitive clinical assessments without senior physician consultation. Apparently, on-call doctor appointments are "exclusively for straightforward conditions like infections". A profoundly disappointing illustration of systemic healthcare breakdown. Public Health Wales urgently requires a comprehensive investigation.

Exceptional healthcare and friendly staff at oak tree

I've been a patient at Oak Tree for more than two years, and they consistently deliver excellent service. Dr. Anstee, the Advanced Nurse Practitioner, along with the blood-drawing nurses and front desk staff, have all been incredibly supportive and kind. While the waiting times can be lengthy, it's completely reasonable considering the current strain on healthcare facilities nationwide. I wholeheartedly endorse this practice and would absolutely recommend them to anyone seeking quality medical care.

Worst medical practice ever terrible service

Attempting to secure an appointment with this general practitioner is an exercise in frustration. I'd give them zero stars if possible. Their communication is abysmal - they bombard you with links and provide zero clarity about when you'll actually be seen. The referral process is a complete shambles; they require you to redundantly fill out additional online forms sent via text, and when you inquire about the status, they simply deflect responsibility, suggesting you contact the hospital about a referral that hasn't even been sent there. Their approach is utterly unprofessional and leaves patients feeling completely abandoned and confused.

Dangerous surgery with life-threatening complications and delays

This medical procedure comes with substantial potential complications, and I emphatically recommend against pursuing it. My personal encounter has been deeply troubling—following medical guidance to discontinue anticoagulant medication, I experienced a life-threatening pulmonary embolism (PE) merely five days afterward. Furthermore, the post-operative communication has been incredibly exasperating; although I was initially informed that diagnostic results would be accessible within 1–2 weeks, I have now been waiting beyond three weeks and continue to actively pursue these findings. Their consistent response remains that the results "cannot be distributed until a physician has conducted a comprehensive review." Astonished they remain operational.

Dangerous medical negligence led to my kidney disease

I visited the clinic with an ear infection and was misdiagnosed not once, but twice. The incorrect medications I was prescribed led to an emergency room visit. Due to the medical staff's negligence and unwillingness to explore alternative diagnoses, I've developed a rare kidney condition caused by my immune system attacking a non-existent illness triggered by the wrong treatment. These supposed healthcare professionals who are meant to care for us are instead putting patients at risk through their careless practices. This medical facility urgently requires a comprehensive internal review of its diagnostic and treatment protocols.

Worst medical service ever experienced by patient

They were absolutely terrible from the start. I was denied blood tests, and even when I went to A&E for testing, they continuously dodged providing my results. They kept passing me back and forth between the surgery and hospital, with each side claiming the other would handle it. The receptionists are incredibly lazy and unmotivated, forcing ADHD patients to wait endlessly in the waiting room without medication due to pharmacy shortages. When you finally muster the courage to ask about wait times, they claim you've been called while staring blankly at a screen, and they're dismissive of their own mistakes. What a relief I've been removed from their practice. Waiting two and a half hours is not acceptable, and the discrimination I experienced with my B12 deficiency and liver problems was shocking. I was completely refused blood tests and had to go through the hospital, who confirmed I was treated unfairly compared to other patients at Oaktree Surgery. I am absolutely furious about the entire experience.

The physician promised to reach out via phone last week, yet I'm still waiting for that call. Booking an appointment seems like an insurmountable challenge.
