The practice sent me a message asking me to contact them to schedule a phone consultation to go over the findings. I was somewhat apprehensive about attending following the reviews I had read, particularly as it had been several years since my last visit. However, I was seen promptly upon arrival. Despite arriving late for my appointment, I was still accommodated. The wait before seeing the clinician was minimal, and they demonstrated professionalism throughout the consultation. They took the time to explain my situation clearly and went over the medication dosage instructions multiple times to ensure I understood properly, which I found excellent.

Phone queue cuts you off mid-call

The telephone appointment booking system has been disappointing. There are significant delays before being placed in the queue, and after an extended wait, calls are sometimes disconnected. When a connection is maintained, the response is often that no appointments are currently available and to try again the following day.

Reception staff went above and beyond with support

Following a referral to an NHS specialist service, I found myself facing a lengthy waiting period and contacted my GP surgery in considerable distress. I was listened to, helped and supported by a member of the administrative team. Their professionalism, depth of knowledge, and above all, their kindness made all the difference. I could tell that this person was simply doing their job, which assures me that this was not an isolated incident or a random act of kindness; it's who they are, and speaks volumes about the ethos at the practice. My thanks for their dedication, patience, care and kindness to the clinical staff, the reception and admin team, but especially to the administrative staff member who assisted me.

I'm glad I finally realised when I phone up to order prescriptions, my surgery is actually located at one address rather than another. I had been confusing it with my pharmacy location.
