Endless waiting and zero customer service respect
The service here is abysmal. I consistently find myself enduring lengthy wait times, even when I arrive exactly on schedule for my appointment. Today, they set a new personal best by keeping me waiting for 45 minutes. Once I finally saw the doctor, there was no acknowledgment or expression of regret for the significant delay. When I voiced my frustration about the extended wait, she merely offered a generic explanation about appointments running over, but in my view, a 45-minute delay warrants at least a simple courtesy notification or an apology. Their complete disregard for patients' time is infuriating, and I am thoroughly let down by their unprofessional approach.

Hi everyone, I want to begin by expressing my sincere appreciation to the entire team at Oakfield Health Centre for the exceptional care I receive. As a disabled patient, I'm truly thankful for their consistent efforts to assist me, whether it's arranging GP appointments or hospital referrals. Despite having numerous long-term health challenges that undoubtedly consume a significant amount of their time, the staff remain consistently courteous and supportive. This morning, I visited Oakfield to see Doctor R Minyas, who is genuinely one of the most compassionate physicians I've ever encountered - a truly kind and wonderful person. I cannot adequately express my gratitude to all the staff for their help, kindness, and dedication to my well-being. I am immensely appreciative of everything they do.

Heartless receptionist destroyed my mental health hope
I'm battling severe mental health challenges and spent three-quarters of an hour in tears, desperately pleading with the staff member for assistance and a doctor's consultation. Her response was simply to suggest I call emergency services, dismissing my plea as "not their problem". I'm incredibly fortunate my mother is here, because without her support, I might not still be alive. If medical professionals demonstrate such indifference and refuse to acknowledge my distress, what reason do I have to persevere? Heartless receptionists like these can drive vulnerable individuals to desperate actions and worsen their mental state. This entire facility deserves to be closed down, and I intend to pursue this matter extensively and thoroughly.

The front desk staff were incredibly unprofessional. I emailed about two separate issues and received a generic, dismissive response. Later, I overheard staff members casually discussing a complaint, which seemed suspiciously deliberate. When I requested a face-to-face meeting to address my concerns, I was told a call would come after 2 PM, but no call ever materialized. The waiting room experience was equally uncomfortable, with receptionists loudly repeating patients' personal medical details within earshot of everyone, completely disregarding privacy. While some staff wore name badges, others did not, which further highlighted the inconsistent and disrespectful approach to customer service. It's frustrating that the entire patient experience appears to be dictated by whatever the receptionist arbitrarily decides is appropriate.

Utterly exasperating experience trying to contact the reception desk for almost two hours, which ultimately drove me to physically visit the surgery in person. If visitors are required to wear masks upon entering the premises, which is reasonable, it's crucial that all reception staff also adhere to the same protocol when interacting with the public. It lacks credibility to insist patients wear masks or risk being denied service when the reception team is not following the identical guidelines. The staff should consistently apply the same rules they expect from patients.

An elderly customer attempted to lodge a complaint, rightfully pointing out the excessive socializing and tea breaks. Great service despite long wait times
I've been a patient at Oakfield Health Centre for approximately 5 years. Previously, scheduling appointments was much simpler and faster, but recently wait times have increased across all doctors. However, during a recent urgent medical need, a physician contacted me immediately after my call, which was incredibly impressive. Their responsiveness was truly exceptional! While it can be challenging to get through on the phone and secure an appointment due to high demand - which is typical of many medical practices currently overwhelmed with patients - the overall quality remains outstanding. Without doubt, this is the most excellent medical practice we've ever experienced!
