When I desperately tried reaching out for medical guidance, having exhausted all other options to contact a GP surgery, the phone representative's behavior was shockingly unprofessional. Her demeanor was incredibly hostile and her communication was appallingly disrespectful. Not only was she unhelpful in addressing my concerns, but her attitude was so offensive that I was stunned someone working in healthcare could treat a patient seeking advice with such contempt. This experience was so negative that I would absolutely never suggest anyone use this medical service, and the staff member's conduct was completely unacceptable and degrading.

This morning, I called at 8am and by 9:10am, I had already spoken with a receptionist and my doctor, and collected my prescription. Their telecommunication setup is impressively efficient, with receptionists quickly recognizing patients through their advanced systems. The doctors are compassionate professionals who genuinely take time to understand and address patient needs, consistently providing excellent care for both myself and my young son. I feel incredibly supported by this practice and cannot help but commend them for maintaining such a seamless, high-quality service despite the numerous challenges currently facing general practitioners. Oakfield Surgery sets a remarkable standard that other medical practices would do well to emulate in terms of patient-centered care and operational excellence.

This service is rather disappointing. The registration process is problematic if you're already registered with another general practitioner. My wife doesn't drive, and the surgery is practically next door, just 0.3 miles away. It would be far more convenient, and there are positive online reviews. Something doesn't seem right here. I'm uncertain whether this is a council regulation, but I can't comprehend why I'm unable to register or transfer. My wife is now forced to travel or take a taxi to a surgery located 3 miles away, which is incredibly inconvenient.

After that initial phone consultation, there's yet another week-long wait before you can actually see a physician. When you're genuinely concerned about a medical issue, two weeks feels like an eternity. The clinic's management has clearly deteriorated since the pandemic, showing a complete lack of efficiency and patient-centered care. Moreover, unlike most medical practices, they haven't implemented online booking, which further complicates the already cumbersome appointment system.
