I was scheduled for a liver examination on the 23rd of June, and I arrived promptly before my designated time. After checking in, I sat waiting for 15 minutes with no progress. I returned to the front desk to inquire and was informed that the technician was behind schedule. As another 30 minutes passed, I ultimately decided to leave. I am seeking a clear explanation and a sincere apology. It's frustrating that I have professional commitments and cannot afford to waste an entire day waiting. Additionally, it's inconvenient that these liver scans are exclusively conducted on Mondays, which further complicates scheduling.

I'm absolutely frustrated that I'm compelled to award this medical practice even a single star, being completely candid... since registering, I've managed to secure an appointment successfully only one solitary time... at this stage, this surgery poses a genuine threat to every single patient on their roster, regardless of age... they should be shut down if they're unwilling to perform their fundamental responsibilities!!! Unhelpful and dismissive medical receptionist nightmare
I attempted to return a call and was met with an unhelpful receptionist who interrupted me mid-explanation, demanding my personal details. When I provided my date of birth, she claimed I wasn't registered and tried to dismiss me by suggesting I contact another location. I pointed out that this was the number that had previously called me, which prompted her to recheck and finally locate my information. However, she still didn't properly confirm my details and seemed eager to end the call. Her unprofessional conduct was appalling and typical of receptionists in UK healthcare settings. In my experience, the compassionate staff are those directly involved in patient care, not the front desk personnel. THESE RECEPTIONISTS ARE INCREDIBLY RUDE! THEY PREACH ABOUT PREVENTING STAFF ABUSE, YET THEIR OWN BEHAVIOR IS FAR MORE ABUSIVE THAN ANY PATIENT'S CALL!!!!!!

Overall fairly satisfactory - scheduling a nurse consultation is straightforward and GP services haven't caused significant problems (though extended waiting periods are anticipated). The primary difficulties arise with their new online triage approach - their website suggests calling for an appointment, but phone staff redirect you to the website. After submitting an online request, they subsequently call back to arrange the appointment. Fortunately, I have internet access - though no one confirmed my preference. They advised against using the NHS app or Patient Access, offering no alternative connection methods. Additionally, the receptionist consistently demonstrates an aggressive demeanor across various interactions and scenarios - seemingly taking pleasure in creating obstacles, constantly questioning documentation and previous consultations with a dismissive attitude of 'you're inherently wrong, so be thankful'. I should emphasize that I maintain a courteous and non-confrontational approach throughout these interactions.

Patronising gp made me feel unheard and anxious
I've been a patient at this practice for around 2 years and ultimately decided to switch providers. The primary issue was Dr. Anthony Sheanon (or Tony Sheanon), who I was consistently assigned to despite requesting alternative doctors. His communication style was incredibly condescending - while potentially suitable for children, it was wholly inappropriate for adult patients. I perpetually felt dismissed and invalidated. Dr. Sheanon consistently seemed to believe I was exaggerating my symptoms, forcing me to provide extensive explanations which he would routinely minimize. His approach was deeply anxiety-inducing. Moreover, he would interrupt me to criticize my eye contact, claiming I must look directly at him while speaking. This was particularly ironic given that his manner was precisely what was causing my nervousness. As a medical professional, he should have demonstrated more sensitivity towards patients with anxiety or conditions that might make direct eye contact challenging. The NHS is notorious for misdiagnosis and patient dismissal, and my experience epitomized this problem. Upon changing practices, my new GP immediately ordered the blood tests for allergy symptoms that Dr. Sheanon had repeatedly refused. When I previously requested these tests, suggesting potential immune system issues, he had mockingly dismissed my concerns as paranoia. My new healthcare provider was astonished these tests hadn't been conducted earlier. While I had no issues with other staff, Dr. Sheanon was singularly responsible for my departure and has unfortunately instilled a lasting anxiety about discussing medical concerns with healthcare professionals.

Terrible medical care at oakfield surgery
I've been dealing with a shoulder fracture for two years, and Oakfield surgery only discovered it now 🤣 They completely disregarded my suffering, with me visiting nearly weekly while Tony repeatedly claimed it was just inflammation and prescribed ineffective medication... The entire practice is utterly incompetent. Tony would be better suited as an actor, given how convincingly he pretends to show concern.

Urgently seeking medical consultation, but once again, scheduling proves impossible. Battling an excruciating kidney stone, I've requested a scan with no appointment in sight. Unable to secure even a callback from a physician. Enduring constant agony while simultaneously caring for my husband facing terminal cancer. Gratitude to the NHS feels hollow - despite our combined 90 years of National Insurance contributions, we're treated as inconsequential. I now regret every penny we've paid into the system.
