Unhelpful staff made my sick child's visit terrible
We visited Oaklands today for an appointment. Fortunately, we're registered at Sun Lane Surgery, and their nurse happened to be at Oaklands. My 3-year-old son was extremely unwell, running a high fever. We received the prescription and went to Paydens, only to be informed they were out of the required medication. Returning to Oaklands, the nurse advised me to check other pharmacies and come back if unsuccessful, promising an alternative prescription. Ultimately, we had to return, but the blonde receptionist was completely unhelpful. She attempted to redirect us to Sun Lane Surgery, avoiding any further interaction with the nurse. I was there with my sick 3-year-old, following the nurse's previous instructions. Her attitude was appalling, and she seemed to imply I should be grateful for receiving medication for my son. It's ironic that they demand patient respect while displaying such disrespectful behavior themselves.

Terrible service and impossible to reach anyone
Completely worthless when attempting to communicate with anyone. The most irritating voicemail system imaginable, which drones endlessly, clearly designed to discourage patients from calling the medical practice. Even after navigating through the maze of prompts, no human picks up. It seems they've completely lost any sense of patient care, treating people more like an inconvenience than those they're meant to serve. I'm beginning to wonder if actual physicians even exist at this facility, given how long it's been since I've seen a doctor.

Terrible service left me frustrated and hopeless
I desperately required a consultation with a female physician. On 30/3, I was informed that the earliest available female doctor appointment was 7 weeks away, but a male doctor could see me on 11/4. Although this wait seemed excessively long given my increasingly intolerable condition, I reluctantly accepted the male doctor's appointment, thinking some medical attention was better than none. However, while sitting in the reception area awaiting my scheduled time, I was abruptly notified that the appointment was cancelled because the doctor had not arrived. The staff were unable to provide any clarity on when I might be able to receive medical care.

Heartless clinic fails patient with urgent medical needs
On a Thursday around mid-morning, I encountered a woman who had just left this medical facility. Her leg was injured, complicated by an abscess and significant spinal issues. She had gone to great lengths to secure an appointment. Her primary goal was addressing the abscess to enable a pending knee replacement. It was a familiar, frustrating scenario where the "receptionist" dismissively turned her away, offering only a vague promise that "someone will call" her. What possible justification could they have? Such a callous approach. I assisted her partway back home, and she was visibly despondent and defeated...........

Their reception staff provide incorrect guidance, securing a doctor's appointment is impossible, prescription handling is a disaster, and there's even a risk of being prescribed medication you're allergic to.

Whenever I've required an appointment, they've managed to schedule it promptly, often on the same day, and consistently follow up with interim calls to ensure everything is on track. I believe the online search results are somewhat distorted by the (undeniably unfortunate) negative encounters people have shared, coupled with the tendency for individuals to be more vocal about poor experiences when they're frustrated. From my perspective, my interaction was entirely satisfactory - granted, I only required a Nurse consultation instead of a Doctor's appointment, but the process was incredibly smooth, and I received the necessary care without any issues. While my experience might differ if I had an urgent medical need during peak hours, I feel it's crucial to provide balanced feedback when things go well, to offer a more comprehensive view of the service.
