Frustrating experience with impossible scheduling nightmare

Getting a booking here is an absolute nightmare. You're either left hanging on the line or perpetually rescheduled. What incredible "service" they provide. To even have a chance of speaking with their receptionist, you're forced to waste an entire workday.

The service consistently meets expectations, and support is readily available when required. Their online consultation platform is excellent, with a healthcare assistant reaching out within a day, and they'll connect you with a doctor if necessary. The COVID-19 vaccine and flu shot distribution has been outstanding. I have absolutely no complaints about this medical practice.

Terrible medical care at oaklands hospital

My frustration and anger barely scratch the surface of my feelings. I've undergone an X-Ray for my right knee due to extreme pain, and I'm now forced to wear a supportive brace most of the time. This condition has persisted for an extended period. The result? A dismissive text saying "no further action required." Seriously? No investigation into the potential causes of my pain? Am I supposed to believe this ongoing discomfort is normal and insignificant? I'm completely done with Oaklands. This marks the second instance where I've been told no further action is necessary. Previously, they ignored my drop foot condition that developed following a back injury. Once again, I've received zero guidance or support. I'm left to manage this knee issue entirely on my own, just like last time. Oaklands, you've provided absolutely no help whatsoever!!

Doctors failing my seriously ill son's healthcare needs

My son Richard has been battling a severe health condition for half a year, and throughout this entire period, he's been unable to consult directly with a physician, instead dealing primarily with the front desk staff and occasionally a nurse. Today, when he called again feeling extremely unwell, he was informed that a doctor consultation was impossible until March 24th, with only a potential nurse callback later. I'm deeply concerned about my son, who is not one to make a fuss. The current state of medical care is truly disappointing. This is an absolutely unacceptable way to manage a medical practice.

Terrible healthcare experience with dismissive medical staff

I'm unable to provide a meaningful review of this medical practice because accessing a physician seems impossible. The personnel are insufferably arrogant, patronizing, obstructive, callous, and downright discourteous. Patients face continuous obstacles that would test even the most robust individuals. Given that people typically seek medical care when they're unwell, this approach to patient interaction potentially extends their distress, or potentially creates even more serious consequences.

I was consistently denied a consultation with a qualified physician regarding my health issue. Instead, they dismissed my concerns by routing me through nurse practitioners and unqualified medical staff who merely prescribed increasingly potent antibiotics. After persistently demanding a proper evaluation for three months, I was finally referred to a specialist who diagnosed my condition in mere seconds. Throughout this ordeal, they continued administering stronger antibiotics while I was actually suffering from a hiatus hernia with silent reflux. This practice deserves to be shut down and thoroughly investigated for systematic medical negligence. The fault lies not with individual staff members, but with the underlying systemic problems. Something appears fundamentally corrupt about the practice's management, with suspicions that someone is profiting significantly at the expense of patients' health in Hythe. I am deeply concerned this represents a covert privatization of the NHS, potentially signaling a troubling trend towards diminished access to comprehensive medical care.

During the pandemic lockdown in May 2020, my husband received exceptional care from the surgery's medical staff. Following a phone consultation about right-sided abdominal pain with a physician, a nurse appointment was promptly arranged. This swift action ultimately revealed acute appendicitis, and the rapid response from all Oaklands staff ensured my husband was swiftly and safely transferred to the William Harvey Hospital. We are truly appreciative of having such high-quality healthcare available in our local community.
