Switched to a different nearby medical practice due to persistent issues. Both junior and senior administrative personnel demonstrated incompetence and displayed discourteous behavior towards multiple family members across an extended timeframe (spanning several months). While the medical professionals might be competent, the administrative system is fundamentally and consistently broken.

Unhelpful receptionist ruins patient's medical experience

I called the clinic as instructed by a voicemail from the receptionist. When rebooking as my GP suggested, I inquired about the reason for additional blood tests. The receptionist was unhelpful and became defensive when I requested she pass a message to the GP via ask.my.gp. I was told to contact them myself between 7am and 10am, which I explained was impossible due to work. She accused me of being rude, though I was simply seeking clarification. I felt like an inconvenience while trying to understand my medical care. Despite doctors being busy, I'm a patient dealing with health issues and seeking support. The receptionist's attitude has significantly increased my anxiety and depression. However, I must commend the phlebotomist and nurse practitioner, who were incredibly compassionate and professional. They reminded me that genuine, caring healthcare professionals do exist, and I'm grateful for their kindness and understanding.

Oaklands surgery exposed for unethical data practices

It's quite amusing to expose an establishment as completely ridiculous when Oaklands Surgery fabricates absurd falsehoods and prevents you from presenting your perspective. The Practice Manager established email accounts that were subsequently left improperly accessible to an unauthorized third party. The situation with Oaklands is straightforward. Although Rosie BERRIDGE and Danielle might not be direct employees of the surgery, they were exploiting your system. There is absolutely no misunderstanding, and no communication breakdown occurred, either by myself or anyone else. It's clear: your Symphony Healthcare staff violated GDPR legislation. Danielle deliberately left her email account open, and Rosie BERRIDGE accessed another person's account without proper authorization. Given your stubborn refusal to acknowledge the truth and the fact that you took nearly 5 months to construct a weak explanation, both of those staff members will be reported to the relevant regulatory authorities. Do not attempt to deceive... Acknowledge your errors. You hire unprofessional buffoons, and consequently, you will be exposed as the chaotic organization that you are.

Terrible healthcare service with zero patient consideration

Anticipating my appointment for two days, they initially refused to see me. The throat image should have been sufficient. Eventually, they scheduled me. Upon arrival, I was informed that the doctor had canceled and rescheduled for another day. It would have been courteous to notify the patient about such a change. Their attitude suggests a lack of concern. This is not the first instance of their unprofessional patient treatment.

The merger with boots has only exacerbated an already subpar service. The increased patient load has further deteriorated the quality of care. Throughout my experience, I've frequently spent up to an hour or more waiting to see a doctor, and securing an appointment has been incredibly challenging. The phone lines are perpetually busy, and the receptionist's helpfulness varies greatly depending on who's working. Medication collection is consistently problematic - for instance, after seeing the doctor on a Friday, I had to wait until the following Thursday to collect my epilepsy medication, which is an unacceptable delay that occurs far too often. I see no indication of service improvement. The surgery itself is cramped and outdated. The sole positive aspect is the friendly nursing staff, which makes the doctors' poor performance even more disappointing.

Worst medical experience ever terrible customer service

Utterly abysmal service!! I've been hanging in limbo for 72 hours waiting for an appointment and a return call.. it's mind-boggling that my tax dollars support such a dysfunctional establishment.. furthermore, the receptionist was incredibly discourteous and displayed zero capacity for basic communication. Regrettably, this medical practice in Yeovil offers the most frustrating appointment scheduling I've encountered, especially for urgent pediatric care!! I cannot comprehend how such a substandard service is permitted to continue. I waited as the fifth person in line for almost ninety minutes!!!! I want to clarify that my criticism is exclusively directed at the reception staff - all the doctors and medical professionals have been exceptional! However, the front desk personnel desperately require substantial additional training!!
