Terrible phone service at worst gp clinic

This medical practice doesn't deserve even a single star rating. They are absolutely terrible as a general practice. Their phone system is completely dysfunctional - trying to schedule an appointment is a nightmare, with calls dropping constantly and staff seemingly intentionally hanging up. Even if you manage to secure an appointment by physically going to their office, the quality of care is dismally poor and well below any acceptable standard.

Upon posing a completely legitimate inquiry about prenatal support and NHS procedures, she callously responded, "I still can't comprehend what you're talking about, but fine." Her response was not just dismissive and useless, but exposed a profound absence of intellectual engagement, basic compassion, and professional respect. Adding insult to injury, my initial contact was to address a discrepancy in NHS numbers—only to be summarily ignored and treated as though I were confused. A week later, the same manager and her team began relentlessly phoning to address precisely the error I had originally highlighted. No acknowledgment of fault. No responsibility taken. Just complete disorder. I deliberately avoided their calls and ultimately transferred to another practice. This individual epitomizes the systemic failures within the NHS. Bureaucratic ineptitude, nonexistent listening skills, and total disregard for the human beings behind administrative paperwork. I departed feeling marginalized, exasperated, and genuinely furious. I have since submitted a formal complaint and strongly urge anyone experiencing comparable substandard treatment at this facility to do likewise. Collective action matters—and remaining silent only perpetuates such unacceptable behavior. They must improve.

What an abysmal experience! The front desk staff consistently display appalling telephone manners! When you ring precisely at 8am, you're greeted with being 20th in line for scheduling! Even after enduring the wait, they flatly reject providing next-day booking! You emphasize the urgency of your situation, yet they casually propose an appointment three weeks out! How is it possible they can schedule something weeks from now but cannot accommodate an immediate need??!!

Marina jones failed to vaccinate my child

Marina Jones at this practice is an absolute nightmare of a nurse. Her medical incompetence and horrible demeanor are shocking. She outright denied providing vaccination services to my minor child. Despite being instructed to get catch-up vaccines from the GP and providing necessary details, Marina claimed ignorance about which vaccines were required, displaying shocking unprofessionalism. Anyone should absolutely steer clear of this dreadful healthcare worker with her appalling attitude. Her lack of medical knowledge and professional integrity is astounding, and I'm stunned she remains a registered nurse given her abysmal conduct. Even if she were to ultimately administer the vaccine, I would strongly hesitate due to her aggressive and hostile approach. Individuals like her tarnish the reputation of medical professionals. Oakwood medical centre should seriously reevaluate her position and consider whether someone with such profound incompetence belongs on their team. Patients should never be subjected to bullying, regardless of a professional's credentials. She made my child feel completely vulnerable and distressed. Her behavior is utterly reprehensible and unacceptable.

On February 3rd, 2025 at precisely 2:10 PM, I encountered the most unprofessional, unsympathetic, impatient, and harsh receptionist (whose name I believe was Kim) during my visit to Oakwood medical centre. Having been a patient at this practice for approximately 15 years, I am well aware of their shortcomings, but this experience truly takes the cake. How can you place such an insensitive individual at the front desk, when they are the first point of contact who shapes a patient's entire perception of the practice? Come on, Oakwood medical centre, you are capable of much more than this deplorable level of customer service.
