Frustrating medical care with zero personal attention

Over the past five years, despite anticipating a surgical procedure, I've never actually encountered the surgeon face-to-face. My interactions have been limited to phone consultations where I'm expected to verbally explain my symptoms, without ever receiving an in-person physical assessment. When the pain became unbearable, I was compelled to contact the 111 service and visit an out-of-hours medical facility, which subsequently emailed Oakwood recommending urgent medical intervention. However, no follow-up materialized. Additionally, prescriptions prescribed via telephone have consistently failed to be processed at the pharmacy. The entire medical journey has been thoroughly unsatisfactory and frustratingly inadequate.

The receptionist and management display an absolutely revolting and shameful demeanor, consistently treating patients with rudeness and disrespect as if they were subhuman. It's unacceptable that they believe they can mistreat people without consequences. I'm certain the government doesn't fund healthcare professionals to demean patients or treat them like garbage. While they may have gotten away with this behavior in the past, that ends now. I've submitted a comprehensive and serious complaint to the Department of Health & Social Care, requesting a thorough investigation into this matter. I am prepared to provide detailed statements documenting the staff's appalling attitude and will ensure every aspect of this unprofessional conduct is examined. We are fed up with these disgraceful, potentially racist staff members who seem to think they can protect each other. When I escalate this issue to the proper authorities, significant changes will occur. The doctors must take immediate action to address and resolve this unacceptable situation.

I've undergone numerous medical procedures, but the experience at Oakwood surgery was by far the most frustrating. Their staff, particularly the receptionist, demonstrated an unprecedented level of unprofessionalism. Despite instructing patients to book through an online link, they consistently fail to provide actual appointments, and when they do, it's typically with a pharmacist. The entire process is completely absurd and unacceptable.

Despite their history of getting away with such conduct, this time they will be held accountable. I was utterly frustrated when my elderly father couldn't secure a medical appointment 🙄 The disrespectful handling of senior patients was so appalling that I was forced to involve PALS. The receptionists displayed an arrogant attitude, seemingly oblivious to their own potential future vulnerability. Their callous and heartless behavior suggests they believe they'll never experience aging or illness - though I hope their own karma comes swiftly given their cruel treatment. This GP surgery is fundamentally broken and deserves complete shutdown. The entire experience was an absolute waste of time, characterized by reprehensible management and a total lack of compassion towards vulnerable patients, especially the elderly.

The surgical practice is a complete disaster. The front desk staff constantly change their protocols on a whim, creating endless confusion. What the nurses communicate contradicts what the receptionists enforce. Case in point: I couldn't complete a blood test because a nurse was absent, and then I was instructed to use an online booking method, which differed from my previous telephone scheduling. Despite being told by medical professionals that telephone appointments are permissible, the receptionists consistently block these requests. I've been a patient here for a quarter-century, and the quality has dramatically deteriorated since the pandemic, transforming into an utterly frustrating experience.
