Reception and doctors made me feel heard

Everyone at this practice is lovely, from reception through to the clinical staff. The clinicians do a fantastic job of listening and being straightforward with options, treatments, and medications. I highly recommend this practice if you are looking for a new GP.

Reception team's compassion made all the difference

Exceptional service from the entire team. I joined this practice after experiencing a dismissive approach to my healthcare needs at my previous surgery, and I was apprehensive about encountering the same treatment here. I could not have been more mistaken! The reception staff recognised my distress the moment I walked in (even though I attempted to conceal it!) and kindly offered me a quiet space to sit, with one team member remaining nearby while I waited to be seen. They brought me a drink and engaged in conversation to help me feel more at ease. I wish I could recall all their names to express my gratitude properly! The clinician I saw called me through without delay, and from the outset demonstrated nothing but compassion, understanding, and genuine care. For the first time in many years, I felt I had found a healthcare provider who truly heard me and recognised that my health concerns can trigger unexpected reactions to ordinary situations. They gave me their time, never made me feel rushed, and carefully discussed the various options available to me. To my delight, I even received a follow-up call afterwards to check on my wellbeing and to arrange a further appointment to continue supporting my recovery journey and developing a comprehensive plan for my health. I am deeply grateful to everyone involved. This standard of care has been truly moving, and it has genuinely helped me regain my footing and begin progressing towards recovery once again.

Nurse made blood test feel painless

Today I attended for a routine health check and saw a member of the nursing staff. I'm not particularly comfortable with blood tests, but the healthcare professional was excellent and helped me feel relaxed throughout the procedure. I barely felt anything and was very grateful for their reassuring approach and professionalism.

Phone system makes booking appointments difficult

I have attempted multiple times to contact the practice by telephone to arrange an appointment, but have experienced significant difficulties with the phone system. The calls frequently fail to connect, and despite occasionally seeing that I am queued in the system, the line drops with a message stating the call cannot be completed at this time. This has been the most frustrating experience I have had with the appointment booking process.

There's little point in attempting to contact this practice. Unless you manage to call at precisely the right moment early in the morning and get fortunate with availability, you'll struggle. Each time I've tried to reach them, the line has been busy or all appointments are already taken.

It is extremely difficult to secure an appointment outside of school hours. I am frustrated with this medical practice and equally dissatisfied with the pharmacy located nearby. The overall experience has been very disappointing.
