My brother-in-law attempted to contact his physician about a crucial matter but was met with an abrasive and dismissive response from the receptionist. She harshly told him, "We can't handle this now - it's past our capacity and we're overwhelmed, so you'll need to call back later," and then abruptly terminated the call. I want to express my gratitude for causing him to miss the appointment arranged by the benefits agency, which will now result in a postponement of his sickness payment until the necessary documentation is processed. The individual responsible for this interaction is clearly unsuited to her professional role and should not be employed in such a position of responsibility.

Throughout my two-decade relationship with this practice, I have consistently been able to secure appointments without issue. My interactions with the practice manager have been nothing short of exceptional - she has been incredibly supportive and compassionate, truly an asset to this medical facility. Orchard Street stands out as a top-tier practice, which is entirely attributable to the outstanding staff, guided by an outstanding manager. Clearly, there are some resentful, negative individuals venting their personal grievances.

Terrible service from unhelpful medical practice manager
Utterly appalling conduct from the 'Practice Manager' after we relocated merely 1.9 miles away. Both my partner and I work within 0.5 miles of the surgery, and our young son will attend nursery just 0.3 miles from the practice. The NHS website clearly states GP practices should allow patient registration based on workplace or child's school proximity. We received an extremely unprofessional letter claiming 'excessive increased workload' as justification for forcing us to change surgeries, completely disregarding our 40+ year family history with the practice. "Stay home, stay safe, protect the NHS"? Ironically, they suggest we travel to a new surgery and register during a pandemic - absolutely ridiculous! Attempting to contact the 'Practice Manager' proved futile, with staff consistently unavailable, and receptionists displaying nothing but rudeness and unhelpfulness. If workload is overwhelming, manage it professionally instead of dismissing long-standing patients through a dismissive letter. Perhaps conducting an audit of phantom patients in their system would more effectively reduce their patient numbers! The GP's and nurses are genuinely let down by this poorly managed front-of-house team. Steer clear of this practice unless you're prepared to be unceremoniously ejected when they claim to be "busy"!

Practice Manager who utterly fails at managing! If only I could award zero stars! It seems her title suggests she's merely practicing to be a manager, hiding behind her incredibly discourteous and incompetent front desk staff! She evidently instructs her receptionists to claim she's perpetually in meetings, rendering her completely inaccessible, never returning calls and demonstrating zero management skills! Another review below corroborates these observations! What an absolutely spineless individual! She should seriously contemplate alternative employment, as it's crystal clear she has zero concern for patients! Particularly those who have been loyal to Orchard Street for nearly four decades! My trust in the NHS has been completely destroyed, and I will definitely broadcast my terrible experience through local media and social platforms! Disgraceful behavior from this so-called "Practice manager" Perhaps she'd be better suited to flipping burgers or selling used cars....

Exceptional medical care that exceeded all my expectations
After moving to this area, I was advised to try this medical practice, and now that I've experienced their care, I completely endorse the recommendation. Despite not receiving the typical new patient appointment, I've visited twice and requested a prescription refill. Every staff member and doctor I've encountered have been exceptional. When calling for an appointment, I wasn't interrogated; instead, the reception team was incredibly accommodating. The two general practitioners I saw were both professional and made me feel valued, not just another number. Additionally, my consultation with the pharmacist was delightful and incredibly supportive. This experience has highlighted how subpar our previous medical services were. I don't believe the residents of this town fully appreciate the quality of healthcare available here. Even coming from a smaller community, the service I've received far surpasses anything I've experienced before. Kudos to the entire staff - you truly represent the best of this town.

Goodness, the prescription retrieval process here is painfully slow! Unlike other pharmacies that manage to expedite this task, here it inexplicably takes at least 20 minutes, irrespective of the medication's complexity. The staff member seems completely disinterested, meandering about while customers pile up in a lengthy queue. Absolute zero points for efficiency in this department. I'll grudgingly award 2 stars for the medical practice itself, where the doctors, while somewhat abrupt and impatient, at least demonstrate a degree of professional competence - and for the record, patients aren't all incompetent.

Terrible experience from start to finish. This medical practice is riddled with problems. The physicians are completely unresponsive and consistently operate with massive delays of around 40 minutes, yet they're inflexible if patients arrive even slightly late. Today's incident was the final breaking point for me. I'm definitely taking my business elsewhere and filing formal grievances. Their check-in technology was malfunctioning and wouldn't register my daughter's appointment for wound treatment. I spent 10-15 minutes waiting in line to speak with the front desk staff. Despite seeing me queuing, the receptionist claimed I was tardy and refused to allow my daughter's treatment. When I explained the machine's malfunction and she confirmed my presence by seeing me in line and checking with the nurse, she still obstinately denied my daughter medical care. Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable.
