Patient Experience Summary

Appointment access remains the dominant concern across feedback, with patients reporting persistent difficulties reaching the practice by phone, encountering full queues immediately at opening time, and facing long waiting periods when calls do connect. The booking experience is characterised by same-day-only availability with no advance scheduling options, leaving many unable to secure consultations despite repeated attempts. Reception experience emerges as a significant issue, with multiple reports of staff displaying discourtesy, dismissiveness, and poor communication skills, though some individual staff members receive praise for professionalism and helpfulness.

Care experience feedback is mixed. While several patients commend specific doctors for compassionate, attentive listening and professional medical expertise, others describe dismissive consultations, rushed appointments, and inadequate clinical assessment. Communication gaps appear throughout, including delayed responses to requests, unavailable test results, and poor follow-up on promised actions. Long waiting times in reception areas and for callback appointments add to patient frustration.

Patients report organisational failures affecting service delivery, including medication prescription errors, unavailable treatments, and inadequate coordination between departments. Several long-term patients note significant deterioration in service quality over recent years. A small number of reviews highlight positive experiences with particular doctors and reception staff, suggesting that service quality varies considerably depending on individual staff members and circumstances.

Frustrating healthcare experience with impossible doctor access

After my recent discharge from the hospital following an intensive care stay, they recommended an urgent consultation with my primary care physician. However, attempting to schedule an appointment feels like an impossible mission. There are no available slots for phone or in-person consultations, and their only advice if my condition deteriorates is to return to the hospital emergency department!

Unprofessional healthcare service destroys patient trust

When placed on hold during your call, you preach about respecting staff, yet your employees fail to extend the same courtesy to callers. As a fellow healthcare professional, I've never encountered such blatant disrespect. Your receptionist was completely unhelpful, refusing to assist me in accessing information. She demanded I have all client data immediately on hand, and when I couldn't, she abruptly ended the call, dismissing me as not being the care provider and suggesting I ask my non-verbal client to call herself. For a medical practice, this behavior is absolutely unacceptable and a shameful representation of professional healthcare standards. Your staff desperately needs comprehensive customer service training.

Mythical appointments and monsters of medical bureaucracy

Less a medical clinic, more a chaotic scramble for phantom consultations. At this point, I'd sooner expect to spot Bigfoot than secure an appointment. The "booking process" involves calling precisely at 8am, but the moment the clock strikes, the queue is inexplicably maxed out?? The logic escapes me entirely. This scenario would make even Kafka marvel at its absurdity. I recognize healthcare professionals are stretched thin, but this approach feels deliberately antagonistic, creating a stark divide when we're fundamentally on the same side.

Frustrating wait times at my long-time medical practice

I've been hesitant to share my experience, but the situation has become utterly absurd. I called at 12:30pm, believing it would be a perfect time to request my medical records without much hassle. How mistaken I was - I spent a full half-hour on hold, which is particularly frustrating considering I was supposedly "caller number 5". I'm seriously contemplating finding a new healthcare provider because the current service has become completely unacceptable. After being a loyal patient at this practice for nearly three decades, I can confidently say this is the lowest point of my experience.

Frustrating service from once-reliable medical practice

After decades of reliable performance, I find myself let down by the current state of affairs. Case in point: I attempted to contact the office Monday morning at 8am and was greeted with a message asking me to call back later. Following 45 unsuccessful attempts, I finally got through to call queue 16, but after waiting 54 minutes, I ultimately chose to disconnect.

Dangerous medication mix-up threatens patient safety

I've experienced an incredibly frustrating situation twice now where I requested my blue inhaler but was instead given a brown one, which I did not order. When I returned to the pharmacy, they instructed me to contact my doctor. I've been attempting to reach them for over an hour without success, which is completely unacceptable. Living with severe asthma means I rely on my inhaler multiple times daily, and without it, I risk potentially life-threatening hospital visits - something I've unfortunately experienced before. Despite being fully aware of my medical condition, my doctor continues to prescribe the incorrect medication. This is absolutely the worst medical practice imaginable, and I cannot recommend them at all. Their appointment booking system is completely dysfunctional - I repeatedly called over 50 times between 7:55am and 8:50am and never once received an answer. As a direct result of their incompetence, I am now forced to change my general practitioner. If it were possible, I would rate them zero stars without hesitation.

Worst medical care ever experienced by vulnerable patient

Appallingly incompetent and substandard medical practice - 1 star is overly generous From the digital platform's functionality to the staff's demeanor and handling of medication for vulnerable patients with specific requirements, this practice demonstrates zero commitment to patient welfare! Every single task requires constant prompting and reminders, even for hospital-prescribed medications that urgently need updating. Recently compelled to request medication review, knowing the prescription would be unavailable otherwise, with the review deadline imminent. After enduring a 50-minute phone wait, I encountered a receptionist eating and chatting, who insisted a surgery consultation was mandatory. My elderly mother attended, battling her blood pressure and additional health complications, only to be dismissively turned away and told to return later because the staff member wasn't a qualified physician and couldn't address the medication issue. Utterly unacceptable service! I understand the NHS faces significant challenges, but such poor management and systematic neglect only exacerbate existing problems. Their continuous deterioration is utterly bewildering and inexcusable.

Worst medical experience ever for my daughter

If zero-star ratings were possible, I'd select that in a heartbeat. This medical practice is a complete embarrassment. The front desk personnel are discourteous and completely ignorant of their own procedural guidelines. I was denied access to my daughter's blood test results (related to a potential brain tumor) under the pretext of data protection regulations. Yet, paradoxically, just last week I received her results via telephone and was even permitted to collect full printed copies of her medical documentation without any identity verification. I've endured a three-week wait for the general practitioner to draft a referral letter enabling her to undergo a PRIVATE MRI scan. My advice: steer clear of this facility. I'm convinced they pose a genuine risk to patient well-being.

Disgusting smell ruined my entire physiotherapy experience

I recently visited this medical facility for a scheduled physiotherapy session. From the moment I entered the reception area, I was assaulted by an absolutely revolting odor. When I was guided to an adjacent outbuilding, the stench became even more unbearable. It was genuinely shocking how the staff could endure working in such an environment - the smell was truly nauseating. I felt immense relief when I was finally able to leave the premises.

Unprofessional doctor dismisses serious mental health concerns

This so-called "medical professional" displayed an appalling lack of understanding about mental health, treating my concerns with condescension. He ludicrously suggested my depression was merely seasonal, claiming I'd magically improve "when summer arrives", completely dismissing the seriousness of my condition. Furthermore, he arbitrarily denied me antidepressants, despite my previous positive experience with them. Such negligent healthcare practices are not just unprofessional—they're potentially life-threatening.

Completely revolting medical procedure!! The conceited front desk staff are incredibly discourteous. After my husband was advised to have blood work every quarter following his release, no tests were actually arranged. I submitted a written request for the blood tests, and they responded by claiming I wasn't his next of kin!!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous. He requires a translator and additional healthcare support, yet they dismissed me as not being his NOK. 😡 The hospital was thoroughly unimpressed. This is hands-down the most chaotic and dysfunctional medical practice imaginable! It desperately needs to be shut down immediately!!!!!
