Compassionate care versus dismissive medical treatment

I've noticed an improvement in care compared to my previous medical providers, and the young receptionist was wonderfully helpful. The phlebotomy staff are truly compassionate and professional - absolutely no complaints in that department. Unfortunately, the other medical practice has recently made me feel like an inconvenience from the moment I arrive. Their approach today was incredibly condescending, particularly when they dismissively suggested I was imagining a lump in my mouth, despite my genuine fear of oral cancer. I left the consultation in tears because they refused to hear my comprehensive list of symptoms and provided no guidance on obtaining a more thorough appointment to address my interconnected health concerns. I'm constantly required to book separate appointments for each individual symptom. While I recognize the financial constraints and pressure to process patients quickly, I implore them to remember our humanity and not treat us as mere statistics. My persistent quest for answers isn't an attempt to be difficult, but a genuine effort to understand and resolve my health issues. Being instructed to self-examine my mouth with a torch, after two doctors implied I was fabricating symptoms, was deeply unprofessional and distressing. The entire experience left me feeling completely devalued and unheard.

Terrible healthcare service with dangerous medical negligence

This healthcare facility is completely inadequate. I desperately needed a nurse to address an infection, but was dismissively redirected to a walk-in centre since no appointments were available for an entire month. They refused to follow up on my treatment, ultimately forcing me to seek hospital care. It's ridiculous how they allow reception staff without medical training to make diagnostic decisions 😑. They've already made a serious mistake by previously prescribing medication that was inappropriate for me.

Excellent healthcare with caring and responsive staff

I've consistently been able to secure an appointment whenever needed. When I call to request a callback, they inquire about my medical concern. If all slots are taken, they check if my situation is urgent that day, and if so, they ensure I get seen. The reception staff are consistently supportive and make every effort to address my healthcare needs. I appreciate the GP callback service, as there are times when professional advice is all that's required without a full consultation. This medical practice is exceptional, and I hold it in very high regard 👍

Compassionate staff transformed my anxious medical visit

What a fantastic establishment. I was experiencing significant nervousness upon arrival and initially went to the incorrect area. The front desk employee was incredibly compassionate and supportive. In the correct section, the reception staff member welcomed me with a warm, comforting smile and provided reassuring words. Subsequently, another staff member assisted me with parking logistics. Ultimately, the physician was outstanding and went far beyond expectations in addressing my needs. Such an incredible group of professionals. I am truly grateful for how they helped calm my anxieties.

Improved service at local medical practice

Since merging with Prospect Surgery, this medical practice has significantly enhanced its service quality. I'm now able to secure appointments much more easily. The only drawback is their misleading operating hours - while they claim to open at 7am on Tuesday through Thursday, they actually don't respond until after 8:15am, which is puzzling and should be corrected. Despite this minor issue, the overall experience is quite satisfactory and largely positive. At least they've made notable improvements.

Frustrating medical practice with inconsistent appointment booking

I've been attempting to secure a medical consultation via phone twice daily for three consecutive days. On 28/02/22, I followed my usual routine: calling in the morning with no available appointments, then ringing back at noon as per their recorded message. After finally getting through at 12:45 PM, I was informed no appointments remained for the day. Frustrated, I visited the surgery during a shift change and inquired about booking a doctor's appointment. Surprisingly, a receptionist offered me a telephone consultation that very afternoon—despite another staff member claiming just 10 minutes earlier that no slots were available. This inconsistency is deeply troubling. How can two receptionists provide such contradictory information? Are they intentionally misleading patients? We had hoped the merger between church street and prospect practices would enhance service quality, but our expectations have been completely shattered. The lack of transparency and communication is unacceptable.

Ever since the merger, scheduling has become an absolute nightmare. The moment the phone lines become available, I dial immediately, only to find myself stuck at number 56 in the queue. Absolutely appalling treatment making me wait outdoors with an unwell infant, well past his scheduled consultation time - now 12 minutes overdue! This level of service was never an issue before their organizational merger. I had to escalate my concerns just to secure a slot for him, as they were completely booked by early morning.

Their phone system offered the brilliant option of either waiting on hold or receiving a callback without losing your place in the queue. Within just 10 minutes, I received a return call, secured an appointment for later that same day, obtained a prescription, and was advised to return if my condition didn't improve. This approach is significantly more efficient compared to my former medical practice, where securing an appointment typically took a minimum of two weeks.
