Patient feedback reflects a mixed experience across the service. Positive themes centre on courteous and professional clinical staff who demonstrate compassion and attentiveness, with several patients praising efficient appointments and supportive care. However, significant concerns emerge around appointment access and waiting experiences. Lengthy waiting times are consistently reported, with patients describing extended periods without being seen and difficulties securing appointments through phone booking systems that require calling at 8am. Reception experience varies considerably, with some patients noting welcoming and professional staff whilst others report dismissive or unhelpful interactions.
Administrative and organisational challenges feature prominently in feedback. Patients describe poorly managed queuing systems, inconsistent communication from staff about waiting durations, and administrative errors including name mix-ups and prescription handling issues. Some patients report concerns about infection control practices and facility conditions, including overcrowding and inadequate refreshment facilities. Communication inconsistencies between clinical recommendations and reception implementation have also been noted, particularly regarding test requests and appointment procedures.
Whilst some patients report confidence in their clinical care and feel genuinely listened to, others express disappointment with the overall responsiveness and organisation of the service. The feedback suggests that whilst individual clinical interactions can be positive, systemic issues around access, waiting management, and administrative processes are creating frustration and affecting patient confidence in the practice.

Waiting area was dangerously overcrowded
This was my first visit to the walk-in centre, and I found the experience quite concerning. The waiting area appeared extremely crowded, with all available seating occupied and numerous people standing throughout the space. Some individuals were even seated on the floor, and others could be seen sitting outside on the walls. I feel this situation requires urgent attention from those responsible for managing the facility.

Car park waiting time was absolutely ridiculous
Extremely frustrating waiting experience!!!! The car park has a maximum stay of 4 hours, yet you wouldn't be called in during that entire period!!! I could realistically make a trip to London or take a flight abroad in the time spent waiting!!! The NHS would benefit greatly from additional staffing support!!! It's disappointing considering the funding the system receives and its current condition!!!

Long wait, rushed appointment with little help
I had to wait quite a long time before being seen, and the appointment itself was very brief. I was advised that my symptoms were allergy-related rather than infection-based, and was recommended to continue with allergy medication. I felt the consultation could have been more thorough given the wait time. I also noticed the reception area seemed quite congested, and I think the practice could benefit from implementing a queue management system so patients don't need to repeatedly ask about their turn. Overall, the experience felt inefficient.

Reception staff dismissed my concerns without listening
I had a very negative experience at this practice. I felt that I was not treated fairly and that my concerns were not properly addressed. I was disappointed with how my prescription was handled and did not feel supported. I have decided to switch to a different GP practice.

Long wait but efficient once seen
Had to wait a couple of hours before being seen, but once called through the appointment was efficient. Imaging was completed quickly, followed by a short wait for the results. A supportive device was provided, and the staff were very pleasant and reassuring, which helped put my young child at ease.

Staff rudeness marred an already frustrating visit
The waiting times were extremely lengthy, and I found the staff to be unhelpful and unprofessional. There was an administrative error involving a name mix-up that resulted in my appointment slot being given to another patient, which meant I spent over three hours waiting without being seen. No apology was offered for this mistake. When I eventually left, I felt my concerns were not adequately addressed and I was simply advised to manage my symptoms at home. Overall, I was very disappointed with the experience.

Reception staff were dismissive and unhelpful
The receptionist on duty this evening was quite rude and unprofessional. I have not been spoken to in such a manner during previous visits to this practice.

Long wait with nowhere proper to sit
Absolutely shocking, having to sit on the stairs with my young child who appeared to have a serious injury and had not been given any pain relief. The waiting times were unreasonable.

Confusing check-in process left me waiting outside
I attended an urgent care centre after being directed there by NHS 111. Upon arrival, I found the situation confusing and poorly managed. There was no clear signage outside indicating that visitors needed to enter the building to have their temperature checked and register. Once inside, I completed these steps, but then experienced significant discomfort while waiting. The waiting area was at capacity, so I was directed to wait outside in cold weather and had to sit on the ground. I mentioned to staff that I had been advised to drink water regularly, and while they acknowledged this, no water was provided. When I asked again approximately thirty minutes later, I received the same response but still no water was given. The lack of organisation was evident as new arrivals continued to queue outside without any guidance about the check-in process. There appeared to be no system for managing the outdoor queue or determining when people should be called inside to take available seats. People who arrived after me were seated indoors while I remained outside in discomfort on the cold ground. After waiting over an hour, I requested water again with the same result. The centre seemed to lack basic procedures such as displaying information outside or systematically moving waiting patients inside as seats became available. When I was eventually asked to provide a sample before leaving the waiting area, my seat was given to someone else, forcing me back outside to wait further. The overall experience felt disorganised and lacking in basic care standards. The absence of clear communication, direction, or attention to fundamental needs during an extended wait was deeply frustrating. I felt the centre could have implemented simple improvements to function more effectively, and I have serious reservations about returning there in future.

Still waiting months for an appointment
The worst medical professionals I have encountered. I am still waiting for an appointment that was scheduled months ago. The service has been disappointing.

Reception polite but unhelpful with dismissive responses
I had a very negative experience at this GP practice. While the reception team were courteous, I felt they were ineffective in their role. The clinical staff came across as unmotivated and dismissive. I attended an appointment to discuss weight gain that I believed was linked to my medication, which I was taking to manage work-related stress. Despite maintaining a healthy diet and regular exercise routine, I was concerned about this side effect and sought professional guidance. The response I received was dismissive, suggesting I simply eat less and that there was no medical solution available. When I raised a separate health concern, I was told to book another appointment as there was insufficient time to address it. The clinician appeared disengaged throughout, and although I left respectfully, I felt very disappointed by the interaction. I also noticed an inconsistency in how online health information is treated—the clinical staff appear to rely on internet searches for diagnosis, yet when patients mention they have researched their symptoms online, they are made to feel foolish for doing so. The nursing staff similarly left me with a poor impression, seeming unhelpful and unwelcoming during my visit.

Gentle care for my anxious child
Had the most wonderful experience with the nursing staff today. They were gentle, patient and calm while treating my child. The procedure was carried out as carefully as possible. You all do a brilliant job x thank you x

Felt unwelcome and decided not to return
I attended the walk-in centre and felt unwelcome during my visit, which led me to leave without being seen. I don't plan to return to that facility.

Waiting room hygiene concerns need addressing
I observed staff members repeatedly using a keypad-controlled door near reception without any visible hand sanitiser available. This meant everyone was touching the same surface with their bare hands, which seemed like an ineffective approach to infection control.

Phone lines constantly busy and impossible to reach
It is difficult to reach anyone by telephone at this practice. I have been unable to set up online access to patient records. Arranging an online appointment for my family member is not possible through any advance booking system - the only way to secure an appointment is to call at 8am each morning alongside many others attempting to book for the same day. While I recognise the dedication of NHS staff during challenging periods, this appointment system feels inefficient. It creates unnecessary stress and makes it harder for those who genuinely need medical attention to connect with a GP.

Quick appointments and staff who actually listen
Excellent practice. Appointments are always efficient and recently I've been able to get same-day telephone consultations. The entire team is wonderful and I cannot speak highly enough of the clinician I see. They go the extra mile and genuinely listens to your concerns. Outstanding healthcare provider.

Reception didn't listen to my concerns
I had a very negative experience with how my child was treated during a recent visit. I was not satisfied with the care provided and felt it was inadequate. I ended up needing to seek further medical attention elsewhere. I would not recommend this practice based on my experience.
