Excellent service when you manage to speak with a clinician. Beyond that, it is not worth your time. Visit their website. Navigate to the complaints section. It directs you to email them. Click the button for the email address. No email address appears. Ring up and ask for the email address provided. The email address given is incorrect. Four days elapsed without medication. Over four years managing the same ongoing health condition that the practice has observed deteriorate progressively, yet still no repeat prescription arrangement exists where attendance at the in-store pharmacy on a weekday could allow collection of medication. Managing a long-term illness. Called the surgery at 4 or 4:30pm (surgery remains open until 6:30pm) and was told to leave, treated dismissively by the reception staff. The surgery declined to provide assistance. Had to contact the out-of-hours service for the prescription instead. Contacted the pharmacy it was sent to and they refused because the surgery is open and should handle it. What is the actual purpose of NHS healthcare when it has been reduced to absolute minimum provision and the care offered is not delivered. Frustrated with being told my care is not a priority because staff are stretched and under pressure. Lost employment due to my health condition which subsequently resulted in the loss of my family. Steer clear of this practice. No quality of care or demonstrated willingness to help.

I've noticed there seems to be a cautious approach towards certain pain relief medications at this practice, which has made the ordering process more complicated than it needs to be. The Patient Access system appears to provide inconsistent information about reorder dates, which has led to confusion and frustration on multiple occasions. Managing my prescriptions has become a fortnightly struggle that leaves me feeling worn down. Interruptions to my medication routine have a significant impact on my wellbeing, affecting my emotional stability and ability to manage difficult feelings. I feel that my care could be more responsive to my needs, and I'm concerned that my medical history influences how I'm perceived by healthcare providers. I've had to accept that managing my conditions relies heavily on medication and therapy, and I'm doing what I can within these constraints.

However, continuity of care is problematic as you cannot request the same clinician, and the appointment booking system requires calling at a specific morning time, which is challenging when managing work commitments. The phone queue system is frustrating, with wait times reaching 45 minutes and queue positions moving unpredictably. When calls are received, no voicemail is left, making it impossible to understand the purpose of contact. The clinical staff often seem dismissive and give the impression that patients are inconveniencing them, despite patients contributing significantly through taxation. Patient time appears undervalued, with lengthy delays occurring regularly. While I recognise it is demanding work, it seems some clinicians might be better suited to private practice if they have the capability, as I have ultimately chosen to pursue private care after years of dissatisfaction with my experience at this practice.

Given the considerable amount of criticism directed at general practice in the media, often without solid foundation, it's important to acknowledge when a practice is performing well. Reception team made me feel at ease
I always seem to have elevated blood pressure when I visit the surgery. Not due to any medical condition but simply because of the appointment itself. I saw a clinician who explained what was required and provided clear guidance. I have consistently had positive experiences with the medical professionals at this practice. I also spoke with a member of the reception team who was equally helpful and supportive. The staff member who assisted me over the phone in the morning was also very pleasant. Overall, this is a good medical centre with a helpful and friendly team.

I had an appointment this morning to investigate a concerning blood test abnormality. The clinician was courteous, very thorough, professional and articulated well the possible reasons for the abnormality. I was impressed by their determination to ensure they were fully aware of my medical condition and its effects. In conjunction with a colleague, they decided the immediate course of action which they explained clearly to me. The appointment was made at very short notice following a telephone call from a healthcare professional. In my experience this practice is very good. Reception staff arranged a double appointment for me
I typically had to schedule separate appointments to address different health concerns, which meant booking both a doctor's appointment and a nurse or health associate appointment. To add my other issues to my referral, I needed to see the doctor, while the nurse or health associate would handle the separate matter. The GP wouldn't address both issues in one visit. However, one of the reception staff members was exceptionally helpful and wonderful. They arranged a double appointment for me, which allowed me to see the doctor and address multiple concerns at once. The doctor was equally excellent, very caring, and friendly. They not only looked at my additional problems and added them to my referral, but also provided helpful suggestions and advice during the same visit. The reception team throughout has been consistently good, nice, caring, friendly, and helpful. I'm very pleased with the practice and would highly recommend it.
