Struggling to book appointments lately

This used to be a good practice, but it has declined significantly. I attempted to book an appointment on three separate occasions and was turned away with explanations about doctor availability. It appears the practice has expanded considerably without adequate resources to match. The overall experience was disappointing, and I found the staff unhelpful. I was very dissatisfied with the service provided.

Efficient diagnosis and treatment at same appointment

I relocated to the area a year ago and have been very pleased with the standard of care provided by all members of the clinical and administrative team. I was particularly grateful for the supportive approach received during the autumn months and more recently, when I was seen by another clinician who was able to identify my issue and administer an injection treatment during the same visit.

Reception staff helped but pharmacy confusion was frustrating

Disappointing experience overall. There was one member of reception staff who was helpful and tried to resolve matters, but unfortunately the visit itself was quite frustrating. I attended for a routine appointment regarding a health concern, and was informed that my prescription would be collected from a particular pharmacy. I then made multiple trips back and forth between two different locations trying to locate my medication, only to eventually discover it had been dispensed at the practice's own pharmacy instead. I felt let down by the lack of communication throughout this process and did not receive any acknowledgement of the inconvenience caused. As a result, I have decided to seek care elsewhere.

Reception staff made switching surgeries worthwhile

Switched to this practice from my previous surgery about a year ago and have been very happy with the decision. The reception team are friendly and always willing to help. The clinical staff are excellent. I've never had any difficulty obtaining an appointment when needed.

Joined this practice a couple of weeks ago after many years at another surgery. The reception team, nursing staff and clinical team have all been excellent and very efficient. I have been seen by several members of the nursing team and doctors, and received prompt diagnostic testing. If you are experiencing hormonal changes, the clinical team appears to lack sufficient understanding of this area. Even when seeking private specialist opinions, there seems to be reluctance to align with alternative recommendations regarding hormone-related treatment options. The apparent knowledge gaps in this field feel like they prevent patients from accessing the support needed for an acceptable quality of life. It would be beneficial for the practice to invest in further training so that all patients can receive appropriate care and support.

The reception staff are consistently pleasant and courteous. The clinical staff are always considerate. We relocated to this practice in January and it proved to be an excellent choice. We would strongly encourage others to consider it. The reception staff and clinical team members have consistently demonstrated genuine respect and professionalism throughout our interactions. At my previous surgery, obtaining an appointment with a female clinician involved waiting several weeks, whereas here I was able to phone early in the morning and be seen within a couple of hours. The appointment was thorough, with several investigations arranged to investigate my concerns fully, leading to a clear diagnosis and comprehensive ongoing care. I feel genuinely satisfied and reassured to be registered with this practice now 😊

Staff go the extra mile to help patients

Whether you phone in or attend the practice the staff always do their best to help. They will arrange an appointment as soon as possible or arrange a call back, prescription or other support as needed. I always try and see the same clinician as they are very courteous, thorough and most of all they listen to what you have to say. The NHS is fortunate to have such dedicated professionals, and the practice should be proud to have them as part of the team.
