Struggling to get appointments when really ill

This practice has not been particularly helpful for my needs. I continue to face difficulties obtaining appointments, particularly when I am unwell. Despite being entitled to NHS prescriptions, I have encountered resistance to receiving prescribed medication through the NHS. Instead, I have been advised to purchase medicines over the counter, which is not feasible given my financial circumstances. I have been dealing with ongoing health issues for an extended period, and the suggestion to buy medication privately is unrealistic when living on a limited income.

Phone appointments run late without notice

The reception staff are reasonably helpful, though their friendliness varies. What I find frustrating is the inconsistency with telephone appointments—there can be significant delays of 30 to 40 minutes before receiving a callback, yet if a patient is only a few minutes late, their appointment is cancelled without warning. It would be courteous if someone would notify patients about anticipated delays rather than leaving them waiting without explanation. This disparity feels unfair.

Friendly phone staff made booking straightforward

The telephone reception team are wonderfully friendly and accommodating. Call waiting times are minimal and it's genuinely lovely to speak with someone cheerful when you ring through. Absolutely brilliant!!!

Relocated to the area for employment purposes. Located a nearby practice to register with. The receptionist who answered my call was quite discourteous. The interaction was disappointing.

Receptionist made us feel genuinely listened to

Recently visited with my husband, and we were pleased to learn that his blood sugar control levels had improved significantly since starting treatment earlier in the year. During our appointment, we received positive feedback about the management approach we had been following. The clinical team member was genuinely pleased with the progress, and we found the moment quite emotional. We would highly recommend this surgery to anyone seeking care.

Receptionists made the whole process smooth

I recently attended my local GP practice due to a health concern. The receptionists, the clinical staff member who performed my blood test, and my GP were all exceptionally kind, helpful and professional throughout. My condition was promptly diagnosed and treated, and I experienced a significant improvement within a couple of days. The service was excellent and deserving of the highest rating. I would readily recommend this practice to others.

Easy to book appointments and felt heard

I have consistently had excellent experiences at this practice. The GP I saw took my concerns seriously and made timely referrals when appropriate. The nursing staff have always been welcoming when providing various services. The reception team are friendly and approachable. I have had no difficulty arranging appointments ahead of time.

Can't get through on the phone line

Unable to reach anyone by telephone. I seldom require medical services, but when I needed to contact the practice recently, I was unable to get through despite multiple attempts. The phone service was disappointing and frustrating.

Reception staff seemed dismissive and unhelpful

The service I received fell short of expectations and I found the staff unhelpful. I felt the clinical assessment did not address my concerns effectively, and my condition did not improve as a result. The reception staff also seemed dismissive. I was disappointed with my overall experience at this practice and would not recommend it. I am considering lodging a formal complaint.
