This surgery is absolutely fantastic. I am waiting for a procedure and my initial appointment has been postponed several times over a number of months. Due to the level of discomfort I experienced, I consulted with a clinician who promptly wrote to the specialist, and I now have an appointment scheduled. The standard of care from all the medical professionals has always been excellent. The rest of the team are always so friendly and helpful. A great team 🙂

The medical professionals here are excellent, and while appointments can occasionally be challenging to secure, that's a common issue across the NHS. The pharmacy team and reception staff are consistently welcoming and courteous.

Welcoming practice that listens and cares

Since relocating, I was apprehensive about switching to a new practice. However, I must commend the entire team for the outstanding care I have received over the past year. I feel fortunate to have access to such a high-quality service.

This is a fantastic practice with polite and helpful reception staff who ensure appointments are scheduled promptly. The overall service is excellent. I was seen by a clinician who was kind, caring and demonstrated great empathy during my initial visit. I would highly recommend this surgery.

Phone queues are frustratingly long here

I have been attending this surgery for the majority of my life, spanning several decades. Over time, I have observed what appears to be a disparity in the level of service provided, with those requiring prescription support seemingly receiving less priority than those able to pay for their medications. Accessing appointments has proven challenging, and the telephone waiting times are particularly frustrating. The reception staff do not appear to be fulfilling their intended role effectively. Should an urgent situation arise, I have concerns about the responsiveness of the practice. Additionally, undergoing tests at the surgery has been disappointing, as patients are not consistently informed of their results.

Receptionists made all the difference here

I'm unable to modify my earlier feedback. That said, I should acknowledge what went well. The reception team performed excellently and deserve considerable recognition for their service.

Staff were genuinely helpful and professional throughout

I can only speak highly of the staff at this surgery, who proved to be most helpful, professional and caring throughout my time as a patient. When I registered in late 2020, I was managing several ongoing health concerns, including one that had persisted for many years. Within a relatively short period, I experienced significant improvement in my condition. I would recommend this practice without hesitation and remain grateful to everyone involved in my care. However, I must note that my experience has changed considerably over time. More recently, I have felt that the level of service has declined, and I have not received the standard of care I would expect. It is disappointing, though I recognise these are challenging times for healthcare services.

Reception attitude improved after initial struggles

Wow, every time I call or visit I seem to encounter difficulties. The reception team and one particular member of staff within the pharmacy appear to view non-local patients unfavourably. My interactions with them have felt quite formal and unwelcoming. Most recently, there was an issue with my prescription not being available, and I was advised that this was due to insufficient notice being provided beforehand, though the prescription remained unavailable regardless. *update My experience has improved considerably, and I now feel much more welcomed. The reception team deserve recognition for the better service I have received. 4*

Long-term patient feels genuinely listened to

I have been a patient at this medical practice for a considerable period of time, and they have supported me through both positive and challenging periods in my life. Every clinician I have consulted has demonstrated excellent care, and it is evident that the practice maintains a strong commitment to prioritising patient wellbeing.

Receptionists and nurses were genuinely helpful

I was surprised by the earlier review! One of the clinicians at this practice is a pleasant, patient-focused professional. My mum and I have been impressed by their calm and caring approach. Another clinician is thorough and puts patients at ease with a warm and friendly manner. The team coped admirably under pressure until a new clinician joined the practice (though we haven't had the opportunity to meet them yet). The reception and nursing staff are polite and helpful. When I compare this practice to those of my friends, it is definitely one of the best serving our local area.
