Patient feedback reveals significant challenges with appointment access and booking systems. Securing consultations has become increasingly difficult, with patients reporting long waiting times on phone lines, limited availability through online platforms, and barriers to advance booking. Reception experience is mixed, with some patients praising courteous and supportive staff, while others describe dismissive, disrespectful, or unhelpful interactions that lack empathy when patients are experiencing health difficulties.
Medical and nursing staff generally receive positive feedback for their professional approach, compassion, and clinical care. However, patients consistently highlight communication breakdowns, including missed follow-up appointments, delayed test result notifications, and unclear appointment scheduling processes. Several patients note a perceived deterioration in service quality compared to previous years, with concerns about reduced in-person consultation availability and reliance on telephone appointments.
While some patients report satisfactory experiences with efficient booking and compassionate care, the overall pattern across feedback indicates systemic issues with appointment availability, phone system responsiveness, and reception courtesy that are creating barriers to timely healthcare access.

Average!
Quick and efficient vaccine experience today
I went to get my combined Covid and Flu vaccination. Surprisingly, the reception area was nearly vacant. As a result, I was processed extremely rapidly. In pre-pandemic times, I would have likely spent around an hour waiting in line.

Poor!
Disappointing decline of once great healthcare service
Once a quality service, it has now sadly deteriorated, mirroring the broader decline currently afflicting the National Health Service.

Bad!
Terrible service left me frustrated and angry
Placed on hold for a consultation, call dropped after nearly 40 minutes of waiting. When I finally connected, I was instructed to ring back the following day to check appointment availability. Completely unacceptable service - I'll strictly limit my calls to critical medical needs. They're likely still using COVID as an excuse for their poor communication.

Bad!
Nhs gp service a complete waste of time
As ineffective as the typical NHS experience. Save yourself the trouble. Went through a private GP video consultation where they were worried about potential misdiagnosis and recommended an urgent in-person follow-up with my NHS GP, even forwarding their detailed notes. Predictably, the NHS demonstrated complete reluctance to assist. Despite the private GP's inability to diagnose via video, Park Lane arrogantly claims they can diagnose by phone. However, this phone consultation is only available if I call back later in the day. Absolutely illogical. No wonder their service is overwhelmed - I'd essentially need multiple appointments just to get basic care. Utterly absurd... *************************************************************************** EDIT: Ultimately, I managed to receive medical attention from a healthcare professional outside the country. Fortunately, pharmacists are willing to accept EU prescriptions. *************************************************************************** EDIT: They've dispatched a letter to registered patients that essentially says "stop pestering us" and "it's not our fault, it's a nationwide issue". I acknowledge it's a national problem, but attributing it to underfunding/GP shortages is a lazy excuse. The convoluted processes supposedly required for appointments are actually creating additional bureaucratic obstacles. Moreover, I strongly suspect the surgery continues accepting new patients purely to secure more funding, while being fully aware they cannot provide adequate service.

Poor!
Frustrating wait but friendly staff at medical center
I spent countless attempts trying to connect with the clinic to obtain my lab results. The front desk staff are indeed courteous. However, since COVID-19, I've only managed to have one satisfactory telephone consultation with a physician.

Excellent!
Compassionate care during challenging health times
Exceptional assistance during my illness, particularly amid the challenging period for all NHS services. The support was prompt and thorough, both in the initial stages and subsequent follow-up.

Bad!
Terrible healthcare experience with unhelpful staff
Completely revolting! I deeply rue choosing this medical practice. The front desk staff demonstrates zero empathy or understanding when interacting with patients facing health challenges, and they brazenly claim the physicians are powerless to help!!! Certain healthcare providers blatantly disregard patient concerns and fail to give proper attention to medical issues!!!

Excellent!
Compassionate and efficient healthcare team at its best
Many individuals fail to appreciate the complex behind-the-scenes operations of a bustling medical practice. It demands extraordinary collaborative effort and involves precise, challenging tasks. Drs Dempsey, Kaleel, and Sheridan have been my NHS general practitioners for an extended period. They are all skilled professionals with a genuinely compassionate approach. I'm confident they consistently prioritize the health and well-being of both myself and my family. The medical staff clearly maintain current professional knowledge. This practice represents an outstanding illustration of how primary healthcare should function. Moreover, I have consistently found the reception staff and the recently appointed practice manager to be extremely accommodating and courteous during all our interactions, even when I've made some potentially complicated requests.

Bad!
Terrible healthcare service with zero patient consideration
I abandoned my former general practitioner, and I deeply regret that decision. It's utterly ridiculous that despite 80% of the population being vaccinated, they continue to avoid conducting in-person consultations entirely. Moreover, attempting to contact them by phone is an exercise in frustration, with interminable wait times, only to be unceremoniously shunted back into the holding queue once someone finally answers. Patients are completely barred from entering the premises, and I've witnessed elderly individuals standing outside in the pouring rain, with this medical practice behaving as if we're still in the midst of the pandemic's most critical phase. There's absolutely no regard for patient welfare; it seems their primary concern is minimizing their workload to the greatest extent possible.

Compassionate healthcare professionals made our experience great
Every healthcare professional I've encountered here has been exceptional. The nurse managing my kids' immunization records was incredibly thorough and understanding, especially given our unique situation of relocating from the United States. The physician who examined my daughter's rash today was so compassionate and kind that my daughter actually looked forward to the medical appointment!
